Easy Installation!!! Saved me on an ALMOST impossible job. No attic at all!!!!!
This fan really saved me so I wanted to write a review to share my experience. I previously had a 70CFM 6.0 sone fan with a 3" exhaust in the bathroom that would never properly vent the steam from the bathroom. It was also installed so far down in the corner that it was not accessible from the attic. The 1st problem was to get the old fan out with out going in the attic. I used a crowbar to stretch the metal where it was screwed to the wood. Then the old fan came out easy. I had to enlarge the hole since this fan is bigger. Then it easily mounts with 3 screws. The only problem left was reducing the 4" duct to fit my 3". I know it is best to change whole vent hose to 4" but again that was not an option since it is in such a small area in the attic. Some people have had trouble finding an adapter to fit but I found one...https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JVG4J85/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 It fit right in the fan duct and still allows the damper to operate...then I could use foil tape to secure it. Perfect Install!!!! It is not completely silent but it is way quieter then my old 6 sone fan. It provides just enough background ambient fan noise. This is a life saver for anybody that cant get in the attic but wants to upgrade their ventilation.

So far I am pleased with it.
Since I was removing a ceiling light and using its circuit I had to cut a hole for it next to the the fixture so this is more like a new install than a replacement. This bathroom has never had an exhaust so there was no duct work in place. I had access to the attic above so adding the duct work was pretty straight forward for someone with DIY skill. I used 4 inch metal duct pipes because I had to make a 45deg turn right at the unit and then another to the outside wall 2 ft above and didn't want the turbulance of flexible ducting adding drag. It works well. To the unit itself. Seems well constructed and fits into its sturdy metal box well. Airflow is great and now I get no fog on the mirror during and after a shower (see tp test video). It is pretty quiet. You can hear it of course but it is just loud enough so one can remember to shut it off but it does not come close to interfering with normal conversation. I am pretty impressed so far and would buy this again. I will update this review if anything changes. PS the last pic is in the attic with the duct work partially installed.

Super quite, but CFM might not be enough
This exhaust fan is super quite. Seems to pull only a fraction of the CFM my older noisy fan provided. Have no way to measure performance against advertised CFM. For as quite and low(er) CFM this one is, I wish I had gone a tiny bit more powerful/louder. Overall, the product seems great.

Very quiet
Replaced the original builder grade fan just because I hated how loud it was. The fan ways 7 lbs, so plan ahead and have a helper. It will require more support than the old one you remove. For a very experienced do it yourselfer or a pro, it will take about 2 hours. I needed attic access to install the bracket between my 24” on center trusses, to move the blown in insulation , to replace the flex duct and because the duct connector wouldn’t snap back in to the top of the housing when installed from below. You very likely have 3” flex and this requires a 4” vent. I went up and moved the insulation out of the way. I disconnected and removed the old fan. Made the hole bigger, removed the duct connecter (2 screws) and hooked up the duct and the wiring from below. I pushed the duct connecter through the hole, then the fan. Screwed the fan housing to the joist, reattached the duct connecter then went up in the attic to install the bracket and rearrange the insulation. This fan is very quiet. I’d recommend it.

Quiet but not super quiet. Slow to start. Fits into opening of Broan 688
The interesting part about this fan is that it can be taken apart and the insides of the fan fit relatively snugly into the metal box housing of a Broan 688 - NuTone vent fan, which is the standard mass-market and cheapest vent fan installed by builders throughout the US. The Broan 688 is substantially noisier and at least 60% cheaper which is why it is installed everywhere. This fan costs a lot more but it has roughly 1/3 of the noise level of the Broan 688. So on new constuction you can install whatever you want, but if your house is already equipped with Broan 688s, it may be sensible to retrofit some of them with this fan's parts, and you don't have to tear up sheetrock to do it but can use the existing metal housing. The fan is relatively quiet but not the quietest out there. It runs on 12V which makes it very slow to start. It takes 3-4 seconds to begin spinning at a working speed. The construction seems good quality and it is packaged with good care. Seems like a decent quality product.

Bathroom fan
We were getting mold on the ceiling and trim from the original fan that was placed. We replaced with this fan and the ventilation is so much better and stronger we have not had any problems with the moisture or mold since! Easy to install

Needed to replace a Broan NuTone that I already replaced a few years ago. So needed to try something new. Prime Day pricing and my need led to the purchase. If you are replacing a Broan or NuTone, the old frame will need to come out. Pro Tip: Use tin snips to cut the sides so it can “collapse” to be removed. If you are installing this without attic or above access, you can cut the two protruding mounting tabs off, if not needed to make the install easier. Just drill holes in the side for wood screws to attach to the joist. Also, not this frame is slightly different size then B&N, about 1/2” wider on one side. This design is completely different then B&N, with a plastic housing that looks like a proper blower, and a DC motor with controller circuit board. This is probably what makes it so quiet. Pro Tip: B&N grilles may fit this once it’s been installed, they may help cover any drywall flaws. The flapper plastic nozzle is similar/same as B&N, down to the two clips that keep it in place, so I cleaned the old one and reused it. Warning: The wiring enters this assembly from the opposite corner from B&N, so consider this if your wiring can’t be moved in your application. Some don’t like the 7 second delay in starting, but I would expect that is designed for the longevity of the motor, so I can used to that, especially for how much quieter it is to any B&N unit. So far, so good. Time will test it’s longevity.

Easy to install in old work situation with no attic access. Quiet you only hear the sound of the sur being sucked in. Old Broan fan was rated 110cfm and 4.0 sonnes. This unit moves more air effectively mirror doesn’t fog up at all since it’s been installed. Smart design with a flange around the edge of the unit to effectively seal off the room unlike broan/ nutone products on the market today. Designed more like a Panasonic at half the cost.

I’m very happy with this fan. We’re still renovating so it has not been used on a regular basis, but it is very quiet and I’m thinking of replacing my other fans because the noise level in comparison is significantly louder.

I replace the one in the bathroom, this one was a little smaller but moved a adequate amount of air (50 cfm is sort of a minimum) but it is very quite which is important to me, the old one was like having a DC3 overhead
