I used this cable for an off grid Solar install. It worked perfectly and the flexibility on the cable allowed me to dress the install. I ran both wires through a 3/4" conduit, I probably should have used 1". The cable pulled through well, but was tight going around the corners.

If you are working with 12 volt batteries powering an inverter, then you need very short cables and this needs to be the smallest wire you use. This is NOT 1-gauge wire, it is 1/0 AWG which is larger than 1-gauge. You can find a plethora of matching crimp-on lugs here on Amazon so you can have the exact cable pieces you need, no longer do you need to settle for pre-made and often undersize offerings.I received a 10-foot piece of red and a 10-foot piece of black in 1/0 AWG size. The cost per foot is fair and the fast delivery can't be beat. Lets face it, when you're hooking up high-amperage DC circuits the connection between the battery and inverter is the last place you should skimp. The fast Amazon Prime delivery gets you all the cable you need to light up that shiny new 2000 watt inverter.I use a ratcheting cutter to cleanly slice off pieces of this cable which fit neatly into high-current copper lugs. After trying lower priced crimping tools I moved up to a hydraulic crimper which works fantastic with this cable and makes totally professional crimps. I bought the cutter and crimper here on Amazon.The jacket on this cable is heavy duty rubber. I don't like the smell of the rubber so I hung it out on my porch overnight to air it out, now it's fine. I was looking for OFC power cable for an amp install and I ran across this. I made a great purchase. This is so easy to work with. It is very high quality, seems "soft" and easy to put it where you need it. Color is right, and it will fit into your car's cabling channels. I haven't seen any corrosion yet.

Not much to say its good 1 guage wire. The only thing I would have liked is if the coating on the outside was a little thicker. But no issues using or running it through the car.

I've always had a good experience with WindyNation cables, and this was no exception!The cable is indeed very flexible, especially considering its heavy gauge (1/0 AWG in my case). Insulation seems durable. Stranded conductors should be 0.3680" in overall diameter, and they were bang-on as measured with my calipers. This is clearly real copper all the way through - no CCA or tin plating to be found. I ordered 10' per color and was sent a full 10' in each, plus an extra ~1" just to be sure.Price was also the best I could find for the length at the time I ordered. Definitely shop around, as with all commodities, the price per foot will vary somewhat based on the length you order and the manufacturer you order from - but I usually end up with WindyNation for all my cables because they are typically the cheapest, and I know from experience that I can trust the quality.

As described 2/0 cable is flexible,like the red and black color to quickly identify positive and negative leads. Price was the cheapest I could find.Made in US as well.
