Can't get any easier to install!
Had this unit installed since Feb. and no problems what so ever! If you sit down and read the whole install manual which takes about 30 min. Then go to Bullldog Security website and download your vehicle spread sheet, the install is as easy as 1-2-3.. It took a total of 2 hours including reading the install manual 1st to install this unit in a 2012 Toyota Corolla S. Not hard at all, every thing you need is included and the website is very well noted for your vehicle. Remember you will need a valet key for this unit. This kit includes the bypass module needed for over riding the anti-theft system in all newer cars!

Product did not work. Unit just clicked constantly when plugged in. User manual had a fix that did not work and the solution on the web site was different and also did not work. Tech support does not answer the phone, so ended up returning the unit. I have installed two other remote starters on our other cars and they worked flawlessly. Not interested in wasting any more time with this brand.

Good Instructions, Good Range, Good Value
So I read a bunch of the reviews here and on other sites and hesitantly bought this for installation on my '03 Toyota 4Runner as a gift for my wife, so she wouldn't have to run out to start the car in the freezing cold this winter.I took the advice of numerous other reviewers, and it was well worth it. Yes, you should do your homework. You can get all the resources you need (instructions and wiring "cheat sheet" for your specific vehicle) directly from the bulldog security website -- without even purchasing the unit. Read the instructions carefully (they're a bit obtuse but you can probably get a grip on them after a couple of reads) and make sure you are up for the task. It's not particularly easy, but it's not particularly difficult either. And I've never done any real electrical work to speak of. It's nice they even have careful instructions on how to perform a "correct" splice. In addition the kit comes with the primary tools you'll need - a voltage checker that's dead easy to use, a utility knife that is great for splicing, pre-spliced wires with tab plugs, wire ties, etc.A few gotchas that got me that might help you on your way:- Even though the wireless transponder unit is connected, it's inexplicably not powered by the unit itself. That means you have to make a third power splice for the wireless transponder unit that is only loosely alluded to in the instructions. I took it off the constant 12V supply in my vehicle and that seems to work well.- If the unit does nothing when you apply power, it's probably dead-on-arrival (DOA). My first one was. Don't bother calling bulldog security. The tech line is only available while you're at work, it invariably has a long wait, and the best they can do for you is tell you to send it back to amazon for a refund (this after you've installed the whole thing and would have to unsplice it all [ugh!]). Maybe you could get them to send you a replacement? I don't know. I just bought a second unit and returned the DOA unit with the rest of the install kit for the second unit, if that makes sense.- If you're having problems with the remote, here's a little trick the tech guy told me about. Touch the blue wire to any ground and the unit should cause a start to happen. This was really useful for me to determine that the second unit they sent me was not actually keyed to respond to the remote they sent me.Now that it is all setup, it works perfectly. It's been in for a few weeks now and has good range, which is about all that really matters to me, I guess. It was a fun project for me and my wife loves it. The whole thing took me about 8 hours to do and I'd say about 2-3 hours of prep time. All in all it's a good deal for those that want to DIY, I ended up saving around $170 versus the local installers I called. Of course, that doesn't factor in the cost of the loss of a wireless transponder key, which for some cars can be pretty expensive.Hope this helps!

Good job guys great product!
I bought this because it seemed to be the simplest one. I did not need all of the fancy door locking and unlocking and security things. All I wanted was something to start the car in the winter. I knew that I would need to have another key made and have it programmed to my 06 Grand Caravan. The written instructions we're a little confusing about ignition 123. But the online video was very clear and I was able to install it easily. Luckily it was also a Dodge in the video. I only connected the minimum amount of wires necessary to start the car. I may go back later and connect the parking lights and the door locks. Now my wife can push the start button from the window in our kitchen and the van will be started and warmed up by the time she has to get in it. Good job guys great product!

Works well but be prepared for some installation headaches
Had a little difficulty installing this one. As some of the other reviews say, the 9 pin connector that attaches most of the wires/functionality doesn't really lock into the unit like it should. For that reason alone it's worth getting an RS82B instead. It's also worth noting that if your transponder key has the lock/unlock buttons on the key itself as opposed to a separate key fob, it likely won't fit inside this unit as required for transponder 'bypass'. You can buy separate transponder keys for about $20 - $60 from bulldog, walmart, or several other places.I also had difficulty getting this unit to work. It wasn't as 'plug and play' as the description makes it seem and the tech support has very limited hours which made getting help more difficult. They are only open during normal business hours, when I am also working so I couldn't talk to someone and work on the vehicle at the same time. I had to purchase two relays, two resistors and a diode separately in order to get this to work on a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan so do your research on the bulldog website (wiring diagrams available for most vehicles). The extra parts can be difficult to find too. I got the relays at auto-zone and the resistors and diode from radio shack. Once I had it wired up correctly I discovered that somehow it was already programmed for a remote that wasn't included in the package. The procedure for clearing the memory and programming a new remote in the included manual didn't work, even after repeated attempts. Their tech support provided a different procedure which finally got it reset and working with the included remote, but that wasted another day waiting to hear back. After all the unforeseen setbacks I ended up spending closer to 4 hours across 3 days instead of the half hour it takes to install most units. Now that it's working though, it works great. Does everything as advertised, doesn't grind the starter, decent range. Just the installation was a pain.
