Flies that Don't Fly
My flightless flies arrived alive and, just as promised, they are flightless. I bought them for my starter ant colony. These will last quite a while. I think I will end up freezing them since there are so many. They are disgusting, but my ants have enjoyed them. I will definitely purchase more. I am 100% satisfied!

Exceptional service!
There’s a star for “Flavor” haha! I’m not sure about that as I don’t eat these fruit flies but my baby jumpers seem to like the flavor. Lol! I noticed a lot of negative feedback which is sad. I had an issue with my culture and it was resolved by a customer rep. All you have to do is contact them and they will make it right. Give them a chance before leaving negative feedback, folks! I’ve ordered a few things from this company and I must say the customer service is beyond satisfactory in helping their customer. But they have to know the issue too. So give them a call or send a message. They’ll make it right! These are live insects sending out so it’s not always easy to get “live” products out in the heat and cold. But they have a guarantee, so reach out to Josh’s company for help. I was happy with my product after I contacted the company to find out what I needed to do. Very happy! Thanks, Josh’s team for the great experience and service!

Great deal!
Got my culture quickly. Was producing like crazy within a few days. I have so many flies I don't know what to do with them. I have two dart frogs and only a few tarantula slings small enough for these. I've started feeding them to my cichlids just to get rid of them. Totally worth it.

Dead on arrival.
They arrived dead. I ordered a replacement. The order for the replacement was canceled by Josh’s frogs because they didn’t have any move in stock. Nobody contacted me to let me know they had canceled my order. I had to contact them after waiting for over a week with no updates from Josh’s Frogs. They didn’t give me refund for my payment after they had canceled my order without letting me know. I called several times and I was never able to talk to anybody. Finally, after contacting Amazon, I got a phone call from Josh’s frogs and that’s when they told me the order was canceled.I’ve ordered before from them and 3 out of 5 times there’s an issue with the order. Usually, the container is cracked open and most flies are loose inside the box. Or they are just all dead but the larvae are still alive. This time everything was dead and the smell of it was disgusting.Per stores have much better quality than Josh’s frogs.. and better customer service as well.

Joshs frogs good, usps bad!
I recommend ordering straight from joshs frogs I've given them alot of business with zero issues. I decided to order from Amazon for the first time and my package arrived 4 days late all flies were mixed into the media and frozen. Despite the good labeling Josh's frogs uses on each package stating live animals or insects this package was completely mishandled and left in my mailbox during January in montana which is very cold. Amazon uses usps for shipping and I do not support this decision. Something of this nature would have been better shipped through FedEx or ups as they are typically faster and knock on your door while dropping off packages. I reached out to joshs frogs and they were very eager to make it right.

Second time ordering and still top notch
Josh's frogs took amazing care with packaging everything. That being said, I could tell that the mail carrier still had put the box on it's side for a bit 😒. The package literally had bright green labels on it saying "live animal, this way up" (or something to that effect) and the carrier still messed it up. Luckily the package didn't leak and I could tell I still had live larva in the culture. It took a little bit, but eventually I had several flies ready to go for my spiders. I have had a culture from Josh's frogs before, and the culture kept producing for well over a month. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely reorder when needed! 😊

Great for my juvenile jumping spiders
Great for my juvenile jumping spiders! I was extremely worried about having to keep flies in my home, but the container held up well and I've been able to keep them all under control. I'll actually be switching to Josh's Frogs for my meal/wax worms needs now as well since I like the containers they send them in MUCH better than the previous company I was using. I literally never leave reviews, but I wanted to shout out to this company in case any other spider keepers needed the recommendation.
