I have the sx 280 hs will it work for that?

I have no idea, but the info at the Amazon product page should say for what models it fits, or run it backwards and look up the camera you have and see what batteries are included or recommended, and if that does not provide the answer, try the Canon web site, again for the camera and/or the battery. I do recommend Original Equipment batteries, so Canon batteries for Canon camera, since when ever I've used third-party brand batteries, they've worked okay but never have lasted as long (years) or provided as many pictures on a charge. I think in batteries you do get what you pay for.

Is this interchangeable with the Canon NB-11LH?

I am not sure, I have this battery that matches model that came with the camera (NB-11L) and is currently used in my camera and switch them out when the battery is low. Have you looked in your manual to see if the battery is interchangeable or perhaps is the same voltage and size?
