Ground probably more. Tight seal that contains smell well. The lid has an air release that doesn't allow it to open unless you press it so it will travel well. A weeks worth? I grind enough coffee beans to fill this cannister and it keeps them fresh with the vacuum seal process. I have arthritis in my hands but I am able to manage this- the lid does slide off but is tight and I appreciate it, as it has a good seal. These would be great to use for storing dry goods for camping or an RV - your coffee, sugar, flour would stay fresh and it has a very tight seal. Great product. Good price and came packaged well when it was delivered.
