I bought this WS2812B LED strip for a DIY project to build a Ghost from the video game Destiny, and it worked perfectly! The individually addressable LEDs allowed me to create smooth lighting effects, making my Ghost look just like the ones in the game. The colors are bright and vivid, and the transitions between animations are seamless. Pros: Bright & Vibrant Colors – The RGB LEDs really bring the project to life. Individually Addressable LEDs – Allowed me to create cool effects, like pulsing and color shifts. Great Compatibility – Worked flawlessly with the ESP8266 D1 mini controller and the WLED software from the website and app store. Cons: Adhesive Could Be Better – I will need to reinforce the strip with glue. Tips: Make sure to use a 5V power supply, as this strip doesn’t run on 12V. Overall, this LED strip was perfect for my Destiny Ghost build, and I’d highly recommend it for any DIY lighting project. I’ll definitely be using this brand again for future props!

Very bright though the true colors even blended combos left much to be desired. It’s like reds almost orange green turns a cyan and all the colors at full brightness seem to be off from what one would expect

well i have used these for many different led projects, and the adhesion seems to be working so far i have had no issues with it comming loose, I have used this video for other reviews but here the led strips used adhered to this wooden shadow box and are still holding strong, I've also used them in the pre-made Muzata led aluminum channels and they adhere perfectly

Adhesive works well and almost all of the leds work perfectly. My only complaint is that some parts of the strip were creased and an led or two did not work properly.

Best LEDs on market. Look amazing, stick well, easy to use with wled. 10/10 product for diy

Update: the strip works perfect, the esp32 was the issue, i tried it with the esp8266 an it worked straight away. not sure if the esp32 i have is bad or what the deal is with it, but the data pin acts like it shorts out when i hook it to the light strip but it works fine with the esp8266 so its the control board not the strips. i got a second strip that is 30led a meter instead of the 60led a meter like this one for a different project an both strips worked fine with the esp8266 but both cause the esp32 to short out when hooking the data wire up, got a couple more ordered to try, i think the pinout for the esp32 i have is not correct an i cant find anything for it online so i got some that i hope is better documented an hope its just that and not my stupidity. got them an im trying to use a esp32 to run them but when i hook the leds to the pins wled crashes, i can hook the 5v and ground up an it wled is ok but as soon as i try to hook the data to the 16 io pin it crashes the app on my phone app laptop an desktop browser. not sure if im doing something wrong or if i have a bad item and i can say if its the led strip or the esp32. i have a esp8266 also but ive not tried it yet. im going to try it next. i wanted to try to post in some groups an see if i could find someone that could help but so far ive gotten any response yet so im hoping ill get something figured out. i thought about buying a cheap controller just so i can test the set but i hope i can get these esp32 an 8266 to work. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Diese LED-Streifen sind klasse. Ich hatte zuerst bedenken diese zu kürzen und neu zu verlöten. Das ist aber gar kein Problem. Ich habe mit einem handelsüblichen low Budget Lötkolben erfolgreich Kabel angelötet und viele Kürzungen vorgenommen. Ansteuerung erfolgte über ESP32 um eine Wortuhr zu bauen.

Habe die Kette für meinen 3d Drucker zur Beleuchtung benutzt, damit man auf der Kamera was sieht wenn das Zimmer Licht aus ist. Leuchten sehr gut, das einzige was blöd war, das die Richtung der LEDs bzw. der Aufkleber auf dem Band falsch herum war und ich so gleich die erste Hälfte geschrottet habe. Aber das war okay da ich nur die halbe Kette brauchte. Ansonsten top.

Tolle Farben und Leuchtkraft, sie kleben einwandfrei und funktionieren super mit meinem ESP32 mit WLED. Habe mit diesen LEDs mein eigenes Ambilight gebaut. Jede LED lässt sich einzeln ansteuern. Versorge sie über eine 5V 15A Netzteil. Würde ich immer wieder kaufen.
