Island Range Hood 36 Inch 700 CFM Stainless Steel Ceiling Mount

This range hood is nice quality and came packed pretty well. We had to cut the stainless steel sleeves to fit our application. Installation wasn't too bad. It took us about 3 hours (2 people) including time to install extra support in the ceiling. It works well and looks fantastic! It's definitely worth the money. We love the 4 lights as well. Getting the blue protective coating completely off requires time and patience so don't get in a rush.

Very nice

I am absolutely thrilled with my island mount range hood! This sleek and stylish addition to my kitchen has completely transformed both its appearance and functionality. Installing it was a breeze. The instructions were straightforward, and before I knew it, my kitchen was upgraded to a whole new level of sophistication. If you're in the market for a range hood that's a cut above the rest, look no further. This is the one you want by your side.

Purchased less than two years ago prior to the kitchen remodel. The hood has been in use for 9 months before the fan motor stopped working. I've contacted the manufacturer (quick response time) for a new motor which they said they don't have but usually they will send a whole new range hood unit. However since I purchased it 22 months ago and their warranty is 12 months they will only offer a discount on the purchase of a new replacement. ... just ranting now! So, should I gamble and spend another $350 for something that might not last 12 months? And now my $350 hood will become my $700 hood? I didn't add in the labor cost to this mess!!! I would think the motor should last many years, it should have at least a five year warranty on the motor!!! How much is a motor? I hope the company will do the right thing so I can update this posting! I will try to disassemble the bower and see if I can find a replacement motor and save $$. I'll Keep you informed. update 11/4/25: I was contacted by the company and they are going to make things right for me! They are going to replace the entire range hood. I will update again when I receive it..... Happier and appreciate their understanding!! update 11/7/25: I have received the replacement range hood!!! That was quick!! Looking forward to it lasting a long time as I hope the defective motor was an aberration. Thank the warranty people for their understanding!! It would be nice if replacement parts would be available in the future. I'm upping the rating!!

Is what it is . Only proper ceiling mount I could find

Unit is poorly packaged and constructed of paper-thin stainless steel which does not survive the shipping. Product arrived with multiple damaged bent panels, and the amazon return window is only hours to return, so it cannot be turned. Complete waste of money!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this hood vent for a client of my remodeling business. They wanted black and loved the design. When the appliance arrived, the box was damaged. Upon removing the item, the duct cover was terribly damaged. Still the client wanted this look. I ordered another. It came the same way. The damaged portion was the same in both boxes. It was the upper portion of the decorative duct cover. Teh first was damaged beyond use. The 2nd, was also damaged. However, because the 2 piece duct cover extends or contracts according to ceiling height, the damage on the 2nd appliance was able to be concealed upon installation. All of this could have been avoided with better packaging. Given the fact that this is an appliance with sheetmetal and glass in the box, packaging should be a priority. However, in the case of this manufacturer, they only supply a styrofoam top and bottom to hold the items in place. They do not put the item in a 2nd box. Moreover, the 2 duct covers (approximately 2' long each) are packaged at either end of the box with the before mentioned styrofoam top and bottom cradling them in place. There is NO PROTECTION for approximately 15" in the middle of both pieces. Nice looking product, I can't speak to the life of the appliance although it appears to work well when new. My concern is, if the company is not proud enough of it's product to care for it in shipping (saving pennies per unit rather than ensure it arrives in tact), how proud are they of their product when they are designing and building it?

Edit: dropping the stars down to 2. Sadly you cannot purchase replacement baffles (the wire mesh filters, NOT charcoal ones). Despite reaching out to the manufacturer, and going back and forth with them via email, they were very insistent as to WHY I want to buy replacements. I explained that I dropped one and the frame cracked and I just want to buy a few so I don’t have a problem in the future. They demanded photos. I told them I was not interested in doing any of this - are they available for purchase or not? Then they ghosted me… refused to respond to me further. So - you now have TWO stars. For future customers, BEWARE. What if YOU need replacements? I’d stay away, and I regret my purchase! This vent hood was a new construction install. Never had a vent in the kitchen, so I hired a GC to handle it all. He installed the mounting plate and cut the hole in the mounting plate off center (from where the existing hole is) to avoid a roofing truss. Once mounted, he called in an electrician to install a 110 outlet box in the attic. He didnt use the flexible aluminum conduit and instead bought a foot hard rigid conduit and used that instead. He said for long term use, you wanted to have a higher quality air conduit. Once done, a few adjustments, the photo shows the end product. He had to cut into the exterior roof to vent outside - needed to buy roof vent materials/flashings etc. When all done, took about 6 hours. We were all very happy.

This hood range was easy to install, has 2 fan speeds, and the lights are nice and bright over the stove and cooking area. We love the sleek look and it does a fantastic job! Highly recommend this product.

great product

Black island mount range hoods are extremely hard to find and I managed to snag this for almost half the price compared to similar units. Looks really nice once installed but my best advice is to hire someone and walk away lol This is not designed to fit a standard 8ft ceiling and it actually forced us to cut the overlapping chimney so that it was at it’s recommended height above the cooktop but was not covering the vents for a ductless mount. I’m not sure if this is assumed on installation but it was never in the instructions to do so. Nonetheless, it was worth the install hassle and price. The company was also amazing at communicating when I needed help finding the proper charcoal filter for the ductless option (not included).

About my install, mobile home, finished drywall kitchen with island cooktop and a skylight above it no attic. Dislike: had nothing to do with seller... was lost in shipping and took a month to receive. flimsy steel but it was easy to cut to size(chimney). The cost of the electrical installation, was the same as the vent. plastic coating is difficult to remove from cracks. Liked the packaging the added wood inside the box helped protect it from the shippers. Looks fantastic Install was easy to do alone just need help with the main vent to screw it in place. went ductless due to skylight and no attic access which made it easier and didnt need to cut into the roof.

Easy to install, fit and finish are great ,Quality is above par works great
