Fantastic Fountain Pen, especially for those new or wanting to try fountain pens out ...
Jinhao makes wide variety of, similar fountain pens. I have x450 and 9036, I have frankenpen it with new #6 nibs on the x450, that came with a medium, switching to a EF nib. I love grabbing a four pack and trying different inks. They seem to function really well... I did have the 9036, unscrew in my pants, pocket.. Make sure to secure the cap...Great way to see if you want to try out using and writing with fountain pens before getting more expensive ones. Personally they write really really nice.

How can they make a pen this well for this price?
The ebony is excellent, the parts are beautifully finished, and the nib writes reliably and smoothly. If they only rounded the rim of the cap bottom a bit (easy to do with some 400 grit sandpaper) it'd be the perfect fountain pen!

Cap doesn't post securely
I love this pen. It is the most beautiful pen I have ever owned. It's the right length, comfortable to hold and nicely balanced.The only problem, and I don't know if it is just my pen, the cap doesn't post securely. Does anyone else have this problem?Would I buy the pen again? Yes!

Just a great fountain pen.
Sometimes pen is just a pen. Very good writer out of box. This is not a flashy pen, yet it is very comfortable to write with. The nib is smooth, laying down a good wet line. For the price, this is definitely a bargain.

My very first Jinhao purchase
I had my eyes on this pen for a while now because I have a beautiful ink to pair it with. I am in no way a fountain pen expert (still a newbie) but I didn't have any trouble cleaning the pen or filling the pen with ink. I do have to use a little bit of pressure to make sure the ink flows through.

More than I expected.
I'm a pen fanatic. I especially like fountain pens and I've owned several but this has been the best. I use it to journal and I might not use it for several days but it's always ready to go when I pick it up.
