I needed this when the HDMI and USB cables I bought that one blogger said, "Worked great to extend the Oculus Rift headset," didn't work at all.Some other forums mentioned getting a little inline repeater, so I thought I'd give this a try.The only downside for me was that I had gotten an HDMI cable with male on one side, and female on the other, since it had been purchased with the thought that one of these would NOT be needed. So to get this to work, I had to also pick up a male to male coupler.But once that arrived, got this in place, and viola, my Oculus Rift now does room scale. Great price for something that gives me so much movement now for the VR headset.

So, I was about to set it up by the instruction from reality check vr, to make a breakout cable for my oculus rift. It didn't work. When I unplugged and plugged back again, it just broke up.Then I noticed that the hdmi cable had a polarity, and it was connected to a wrong side of the cable. After all it worked well.

I use it for extending my VR headset HDMI cable, nothing was ever work for me before, until this guy came. HDMI cables 6', 10', male to male, male to female ... I don't even remember how many ways I have tried. VR headset, particularly as Oculus Rift, they have very high video quality requirement from the source. What ever that works for TV, PC or BR/DVD player and such, isn't 100% work for VR cable extension. But after I put this little guy between the extension cord and the cable from VR headset it self, most of my extension cords worked! It just amazing for me since I been trying this for months! And I finally found my huckleberry.

Good product, although I had to get a powered repeater because the signal kept dropping out. This would be great for short, (under 15 feet), runs of HDMI.

I have a Chromecast with two 15 ft extensions. I could not get a signal to my TV. I placed the amplifier between the two extensions and I got a great signal. But after about 2 hours of using the amplifier I no longer got a signal. i kept getting a message that my devise was connected. But i never got a signal to my TV again

I got this to extend the range of my oculus rift headset and also the Monoprice Active Select Series High-Speed HDMI Cable 10 Feet with RedMere Technology Supports Ethernet, 3D, 4K and Audio Return - Black and a 10 feet usb high speed cable for the sensor. It works great to extend the range of the rift and gives me much more freedom of placement and movement.

It can help get a signal up to 40 feet but it can be a little unstable.

This device solved the problem that I had with a weak signal between my Blu-Ray player and my AVR (the AVR was spuriously losing connection). Using one of these at the output of my Blu-Ray player did the trick.
