200g of salt to 850g of this product??
I removed one star because the instruction to make nukamiso has wayy too much salt.Wasn't thinking and followed their direction but instead of 200g I used 175g. at 200g thats 23% salt. at 175g thats 20% salt. I'm used to making nukamiso with only around 13% (for 850g package this would be 110g of salt). Even at 20% its way too much salt!Lower salt increases the chance of spoilage and for mold to grow but never had problem at 13%. I suggest you use only 110g of salt to one 850g package. You can always add salt but its much harder to remove salt.Fermentation should start in about 10 days at most. Will be using just over half of the second package to lower the salt content. excess nukamiso is going into the freezer and hope that it wont ruin it.
