This is one of the best shredder I ever had. The basket is sufficiently sturdy and flexible. It supports the unit well. I use lubricant sheets after heavy use. The unit runs for about 10-15 minutes non-stop. Over the past two days I shredded a large garbage bag size documents and the piece size is very small, being P4 security level. I will definitely recommend it.UODATE=======Now, More than a year later, I am still highly satisfied with it. I shredded over 3,000 papers with it. It still has same flawless performance as when I got it first.

First I would like to say that this is heavy duty and worth every dollar. It is quite heavy to lift and all parts seem to be made of heavy duty, high quality material. This thing actually seem to tear any paper you put into it to shreds. There isn't enough left of any paper to ever recover....which is important as we use it to shred bills and credit card information. We actually add the paper pieces to our composter where it breaks down quickly. The noise level isn't very loud. The safety features are excellent and it is easy to use. If you lift the shredding device from the bucket, it will not operate so you don't have to work about someone coming along and getting their fingers injured. We are very happy with this product and highly recommend it if you are looking for something of good quality that will last a long time.

We like many of the features of this new shredder: 1. the basket has a site window so we know when to bag the shredded paper, 2. It has an overheat feature, 3. It cuts smaller than our old one so safer from identity theft.On the flip side, it is rather noisy but bearable. It was an alternative buy since the Amazon one we wanted had no stock available at the time. Dazzle

Je suis agréablement surprise de son rendement et de la taille du résidus de papier par la suite. Très petits et presque la grosseur des confettis. Bon qualité/prix. Fonctionne à merveille, fonctionne encore très bien, aprés un usage de 30 minutes. Je n'ai que des bons mots pour cette déchiqueteuse et je suis extêmement heureuse de mon achat. Je la recommande, c'est certain. J'utilise le papier lubrifiant pour la tenir fonctionnelle et pour l'entretien. Très performante! Poubelle de très grande capacité.

You have to remove the top piece to empty the shred bin, and the shredding top is a bit heavy to remove, but that is to be expected as the shredders are solid metal.
