Lasted 15 months. Edit: fixed!
Nice unit and it's been working great since I bought it until today. Came down to check on my lamb chops and you right away the water was too cool just by sticking my fingers in. The unit read the right temperature but there was no circulation. So that was the temperature in the pump body, not the full water bath. I have not yet contacted the vendor for support. Will post here when I do. I learned that the metal sleeve comes off with a twist in a pull and that my impeller had some hair tangled in it. Pulling off the hairs allowed the impeller to operate and now it is working. Increased rating from 3 to 5 stars as this was not a defect with the product. The fact that the sleeve comes off so easily made it easy to fix. It just took me a while to discover that the sleeve came off - had to find the manual and then read it.

Works really good, easy to use. Good features
Works a lot better than I was expecting for the price. I really like that it has the ring light around it to show the status. The timer doesn't start until the temperature is reached which is perfect for me. I've already cooked some steaks with it and they turned out great. easy to clean. I cut a hole in a cheap igloo cooler from Walmart (the small $13 red and white 9 quart one) and it fits perfect. At first I was worried it would touch the bottom but it doesn't. It also works really good in a much bigger container though.

Good, with a few caveats
It works within a few degrees. I have to adjust mine up to get the temperature I want. My bigger concern is the clip that attaches it to the pot or box. It seems flimsy and tends to fall off altogether. And as some other people have noted, if you want to cook for many hours the timer only moves up a minute at a time, so you have to push the timer button a lot. Mine registered in Celsius, but I learned somewhere that if you hold the temperature button down for 2 seconds it will change to Fahrenheit. Easier for this American! For under $50 it gets the job done, and as I don’t anticipate using it daily it is just fine for my needs. Very quiet, rings that indicate heating are very helpful. Good water circulation.

Works Good
Works good. Purchased a second one as a gift to a friend. Starts to struggle at 170 degrees F but I'm practice I never need to go that high. You generally want to sous vide 5-10 degrees below your normal meat temperature as it's more juicy and cooking for longer requires lower heat to still be safe.

First one wore out but we purchased another
This is our second time purchasing this. The first one lasted 1-2 years and we used it 10-15 times. The first one quit spinning the water and it no longer heated the water.

Fail. Cheaply made. Ruined a nice meal.
I used a Joule for 6 years and Anova for 4 years. Our water is heavy and the machines eventually wore out from internal calcium buildup. I bought this one thanks to the excellent reviews for an inexpensive machine. I used it twice to make steak and it worked great. But tonight I set up a big cook of a pork roast, spent a lot of time shopping for spices and prepping the meat. The Vpcok threw an error of E2 and just stopped about15 minutes into a 24 hour cook. The Vpcok had not come with a manual but I was surprised to learn there's not even an online pdf manual, that you are just supposed to google to see what other people did when they had the same problem! The only thing relevant that I found online was a 24 second video from 5 years ago showing the E2 error message. That was the entire video. The only comment was, "were you able to fix this?" I tried everything I could think of but per the google AI advice it's probably a bad water sensor. I did also learn that the company is notoriously unresponsive to problems with their products. So my roast was ruined. I'm going back to reverse sear, dutch oven, and other oven techniques for now. I can't deal with another ruined meal from a cheap cooking product. Is there a decent Sous Vide out there that's not imported from a country well-known for low quality?

So far so goood!
I'm very excited!! I just got my unit and already have a chuck roast that is marinated in an Asian steak type marinade (garlic, ginger, brown sugar, lime, teriyaki, lemongrass, lime). I'm going for medium rare and over 3 hours for the collogen breakdown point. I read a bunch of recipes and this is what I chose. So the unit is lovely. It comes very well packaged for a safe arrival, it is boxed worthy of a gift (what a cool gift), and it has two booklets: Instructions, and recipes/guides. Very simple operation - on/off, temp (c vs f), time. It is immersed in deep water and has a min/max water line mark on the shaft. It is red when it is warming to your temp, then turns green when reaching, and I guess blue when done (still 2 hours to go). The unit both warms and moves the water. I think I might test the temp with my thermometer! Anyways.....I'm not sure why as a novice you would want to spend 80 or over 100 for this when my prime day got it for $45. This looks, feels and operates like a very high quality appliance. I simply could not be happier, so the only thing now is if it holds up over time, but I will use this more periodically than daily so I feel it will be fine. I stared at this for a day at $45 and my BF finally said, this is a no brainer, buy it at that price and I'm so glad he did! So if you need a push, I'm here to say this thing is awesome.
