MOSIN Nagant Scout Scope Mount M9130, M38, M44 and T53

Solid platform. I took a Brass Stacker off and replaced it with this. The Brass Stacker had too much up and down flex while this one is as solid as I have found thus far. Excellent base for a variety of optics. Hard to access the nut used to tighten the mount to the sight base but easily overcome and once mounted this base is totally solid! New review. Great product you just have to read the instructions carefully and look at the illustrations carefully. The only thing that bothers me is that it doesn't come with spare screws and washers and nuts. Other that that it is an excellent product. The first time I did the review I hadn't read the instructions good enough I just skimmed through them and put it on wrong but when on correctly it is a great product.

Best scope mount I've come across and I've tried many most put the scope way out or can't handle the recoil. your ging to want a long eye relief scope with the Mosin whether it be the 44 or 91 to begin with. This mount sets up nicely on both.

Still moves and doesn’t align right. Product is quality but fitment is terrible. There is a gap that almost needs washers or something because if you just tighten the screws it ends up cockeyed.

Apperars very solid, needs better instructions and tools to remove pins for rear sight. The punch is flimsy and bends easy, no wrench for the nuts and should have threadlocker on the threads of the bolts. It should come with a center punch and a 3/32 drift punch. I would remove the stock, spray pb blaster type stuff on the pin(s), heat the area up, spray it, heat it, spray it, hit the pins hard with a center punch, once they move, spray again and finish with 3/32 drift punch. I have it on 9130 right now, i am getting another for m44. But.....at the same time, if you dont have the tools or knowledge to do, maybe you should bring it to a gunsmith.Update for m44.......it is too big to fit snug on my m44, I tighten the screws up and still not snug. I ended putting thin copper sheet to shim it out. I tryed 2 shims, but too thick, one did it. Trying to get the rear pin out was a whole another challenge.Further update.......dont use this if you have a m44. It doesnt hold zero and scope mounting bracket loosens. It holds perfect on a 9130........NOT M44.

So far so good. Haven't shot weapon yet to verify mount's reliability, but feels solid once attached. Word to the wise, Do NOT use the punch provided with the mount. It is way too weak and flimsy to move anything but already-loosened pins from the existing sight base. Luckily, I had real punches that would move the pins as needed.
