PERFECT FOR FLUVAL FX6 & 407
I purchased both the 3x8 coarse for my Fluval 407 and the 5.5x8 coarse for my FX6. These work perfectly for holding my Seachem matrix biomedia in both filters. With the 3x8 in the 407 I fill them roughly 75% of the way to the top and they fit perfectly. With the 5x5x8 I fill them 60% of the way and put 2 of them on their sides in each tray of the FX6.You get a ton of bags for the price and they are great quality, what more could you ask for!

BUY THESE INSTEAD OF THE FILITER MEDIA BAGS BY SEACHEM!!
The price is right and the material that they are made of is of high quality and you get more bags for the money versus buying the very expensive SeaChem filter media zipper bags!!

Perfect for what I needed
I bought the fine bags. Work great with the substrate I put in them. Helps keep the dirt from swirling around in the tank if you move stuff

Like Disposable Containers
this media bag (stay with me; I do make a point):ok so you know how at first those name brand plastic containers were marketed as disposable but everyone learns and we wash 'em and keep on using them until they break... even the take out containers from certain restaurants, we wash and reuse... but eventually they do indeed break and then you have to discard them? that's this media bag.they're awesome because they can save a ton of money, but the zippers sometimes get stuck and you have to wiggle them open or shut. and after many uses the seam that holds the zipper in place just rips apart from the rest of the bag... and then you have to discard them :) ...still, they're more eco-friendly than buying a premade bag of carbon from a name brand manufacturer where you discard the whole bag plus the cardboard box that it came in! plus, I can sit and take five minutes to fill all these bags with carbon. then, store them in an airtight container and when I have to change the media, I just rinse one and slap it in.
