Understanding Architectural Details Commercial

This book is great for explaining details to visual learners. Would highly recommend publishing an American version of this book. Noticed a lots of the details were to European & metric standards.

This is the second book in the series, to me.I was immediately highly impressed with the Residential version and so bought this one the same day the first book came in the post.As per the Residential book, the drawings and model images are very clear and sharp. The text labels are well judged (literally and depth of detail wise).The book is physically the perfect size. A good size to handle, and so the drawings can be given maximum page coverage, but it’s not a cumbersome volume. There’s an image in this listing which shows it’s size correctly.As I said in my review of the Residential version, I feel this book is all about inspiration to draw, either a straight copy of the detail you require, or using each one as a base and/or as inspiration.Anyone considering buying this book shouldn’t expect all details to suit every one of your applications. We are all different, we all specify different items, we have regional differences and most buildings are unique, and so it was impossible for The Author to provide complete details to suit all residential applications.This book is about inspiration, to draw your own details, to make you more creative, to get your brain working more, and to bring some new ideas into your projects.5 Stars easy.
