These hand rails are well made, heavy duty, well finished, and are supplied with special screw mounting devices suitable for wood, stucco, concrete, and similar backings and even a useable wrench. While there are no instructions none are needed. My installation was through door trim, wallboard, and 2 x 6 door jamb framing so I opted to use 3/16 x 4” lag bolts and pre drilled the holes—two for each hand rail. I found using a Ratchet wrench with socket more convenient. The rails, for 2 steps, are solid with no play or movement. They are also smooth and easy to grip. I am very pleased with the product, white finish, easy installation, and one day delivery. You might check local building codes for any height of placement on hand rails.

Make sure you put it into a stable wall. I put screws into the door frame. Also, it only comes with concrete fasteners…so if you want to go into wood, you have to supply the screws. I used 3/8” x 2 1/2”, which turned out to be too wide, so I had to ream the two mounting holes to 3/8”.

I love the quality and appearance of this handrail. I was surprised when I received it, cause package was very heavy. It is the perfect length. It is very heavy and sturdy so we had to ensure that it was securely fastened. The package even included a wrench and screw anchors to use to install the railing., so you just have to open the holes and install it, my husband did install on the one step going out to our backyard, since sometimes I have problems stepping down or up I need something to hold to do it. I strongly recommend this if you have someone who needs the assistance of a handrail to go up a couple of steps.

I wasn’t happy with this item. We actually had to buy separately large anchors from Home Depot Which I thought should have been included. My son put one up and the tip of it wasn’t covered with the white paint so it is already rusting. I do like the style and once installed with anchors it was very sturdy. Now I have to buy white spray paint!!

Installed next to my steps leading to my back door. Installed on a 1x 4” and installed the 1x4 to my wall.

This is a very well made, sturdy hand rail. Our only issues is, it came with NO INSTRUCTIONS! We had to log into Amazon to review the pictures on how to install. And thankfully it came with one extra bolt as we made a mistake with installing the first bolt because there were NO INSTRUCTIONS. Come on Amazon, if you are going to sell the product, at least provide guidance on how to install, that is all we ask!

I have installed several of these on homes of seniors who need a little steadying but still want something that looks nice. Folks love them and they are sturdy and well worth the money.

We needed this for a 3 step up to our deck but it was unfortunately too short to be functional despite the description saying it should work for these amounts of steps. Build quality was good though so maybe for a 1 or two step it would work out.
