You'll gain an understanding of how you operate at your best and your worst, which is why I have a love/hate relationship with the enneagram. Expect to be encouraged as you read. Expect to squirm at times as you read descriptions of the darker aspects of your personality that are so spot on, you'll wonder if someone's crawled inside your head and downloaded a few things. There's a lot of more technical books written on the enneagram but this is probably the most accessible and engaging book on the topic. The writing is excellent and the content is organized in a way that makes the tool easy to understand. The authors write from a Christian perspective but its not heavy handed. I can't imagine someone coming from a different faith or no faith at all feeling "run over" by their perspective. The things we refuse to face in ourselves often have great power over us. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Enneagram Introduction

I enjoyed the way this book lays out the enneagram. I had heard of the enneagram prior to this book but never looked into it much. A friend recommended this to me and I am glad she did. The book begins by breaking down why knowing the enneagram is important and the benefits this information has for our personal life, relationships, and spirituality. Each chapter on the specific enneagram numbers is laid out with very detailed information. I was originally afraid that reading a book about every number wouldn't allow me to know what my enneagram was, but I was wrong. I was able to determine my number as well as the numbers I also pull towards. It is very interesting to see your personality laid out in this way and I feel I learned a lot. This book has a Christian backing to it and each chapter also explained how your enneagram relates to your faith. I have added several more books about the enneagram to my TBR list to further delve into the information I've learned from this book.
