This is a really well made and beautiful product. I am so used to getting disposable nail files, that I didn't know what I was missing. This is lovely, classy, and will last forever. The crystal glass files very finely and you are much less likely to tear the nail. This product also works with acrylics. The file comes in a lovely leather pouch, that would be perfect for a gift. I love all the inspirational quotes this company has to choose from. Everything from deep and thoughtful to humorous and light. I chose "Dear Stress, Let's Break Up~ me" I am rating this product 4 stars, instead of 5, because I had a hard time finding the inscription. Also, I wish the inscription was in a different font, other than plain block lettering. This is kind of boring, and does not go with the product. Other than that, I like the file, it is of good quality and should last forever. This would make a great gift for a co-worker, significant other, teen, and parent, grandparent......Disclaimer: I did receive this item at a discount, in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Beautiful! I am so glad I got this Czech glass file. I do my research on everything I buy and there is a difference between this and the cheaply made ones. The heavy duty cylinder it came it is nice. Don’t throw it out because it is glass and if you pack it to travel this will ensure against accidental drops. The finely stiched leather case it came in is also very nice.I have natural nails and after I trim them and file them I always have a non-smooth finish and it feels rough against delicate clothing and I have to go back and re-file to smooth out the edges. Now my problems are solved. I have thrown out all my grit nail files because grit should only be used on stuff like wood or other hard surfaces.

I used a friends and had to get one. These work..and my nails don't snag anymore. The edges of the nail seem harder or maybe smoother?? I am not sure what it is, but of all the files that I have used in my life...this is the best. They say that they break...so just be careful how you hold them. Let the file do the work. It does not take pressure to file your nails. We are all used to bearing down to file our nails....this is a learning curve...It will only take you 1 or 2 times to figure it out. Just love them. Husband wanted his own after trying out mine, then got one for a present. Perfect

It's great so far, I got it to see if there was a difference between this brand and the less expensive brands of which I have several. I've read many convincing reviews that this brand is Superior, I do like it, though I see and feel no difference in how it works or lasts, I've used it for a month before I wrote this review. So, it's good as far as a crystal file goes, but for the extra money for this brand, I would probably go for the less expensive brands that are very equivalent in every way.

I have had my GERmanikure file for about a year now. Over the years I have purchased just about every file on the market. Each one left my nails with rough edges or slight cracks in my nails (making them so easy to break) or there was always that 1 or 2 nails that had an edge that would snag on my clothing. My nails have been very fragile since my chemo treatments 15 years ago. Using anything but this GERmanikure, would just shred my nails. Since I bought this, my nails are smooth, hold polish better & don't snag. I decided to wait a while before I left my rating until I could really give this file & my nails a real test. I just love it. It does file wet or dry as stated in the ad, it is easy to clean (just run water over it) & it doesn't hold bacteria. It's a pretty strong little file (mine is 5.5"). Because I have arthritis, I just wish the file came in a longer size making it easier for me to hold. Bottom line...I love it! I'm so afraid I'm going to drop it & break it, so, I'm ordering a back-up just in case.

For many years I have been looking for a file for my mini Dachshunds nails that actually works, this file is fantastic! Every 2 weeks I clip off the points and file his nails flat, Dachshunds nails split when you cut them so you have to file each nail after you cut it, so for me this file actually does file the nails quickly and gets them smooth. After each use I rinse the file with water to keep it clean for the next time. I will probably purchase another one just in case my first one gets lost. I never want to be without this and finally my search for the perfect dog nail file is over. For the record I did not get this file for free in exchange for this review, I found this on Amazon thru a search and decided to try this style because I've tried every other style to no avail, and I'm sure glad I did.

Really pleased with this nail file! It does a great job of filing my nails and you can control how much you file off depending on how much pressure you apply. The surface isn't very rough, which is nice, but you can still file away quite a bit of nail if you want to. I'm happy to know that it'll never get dull or worn down. The suede sleeve is a nice touch. The file is very nicely made, and it was packaged really well and was inside a thick cardboard tube inside the package it came in, so it arrived safely and intact.

These are well made, sturdy and thicker, 3 mm vs 2 mm. Leather case is very protective. These are etched on both sides. I paid $9.99 and free Prime Shipping when I purchased. Great for thicker nails and file your nails quickly. A little thick to get underneath your nail to file. I like a 2mm thickness for regular filling. I would purchase again, as these will last a long time.

Happy with this purchase. Seems very efficient and gentle. The file and the packaging seem good quality, they came in a rigid plastic tube. It is the first crystal file I own, but I can say I love it and I think it will last me for a very long time.

Love this nail file - super handy and looks really pretty too. The leather case is good for storage and taking it with me in my purse.

Good kit for the dog.

I find that if I have to do much filing, these can take forever to get anything off the nail. I switched to a higher grit nail file.
