Turquoise / Sea Green Thunderbird Heavyweight Yoga Blanket-- Made for Yoga! Hand-Made Mexican Blanket Just like my Iyengar yoga class. It's thick, single weave (it' the tightest), and the same blend as all are (poly/acrylic/cotton). Beautiful color. I washed it first thing - cold water, on hand wash, and hung to dry. The color didn't bleed into the white fringe. I contacted Open Roads before buying, and they emailed right back to answer my questions. I did a lot of reading on how Mexican blankets are made, what the difference is between those and blankets from India, and between those, wool, and cotton blankets. Because of my research and looking at many other products, my wish for certain colors and for some solids only, and a desire for a really thick blanket, I went with Open Roads. Finally, I was impressed that I made contact with a real person who, when I reached out, responded. The blankets just came today, and they live up to my expectations.

Blankets used by a yoga studio that I frequented this winter made me go looking for my own Yoga Blanket. I was impressed with the weight and softness of those and looked for one that would be the same quality. I lucked out immediately with this Open Road Goods blanket. I love the weight, so supportive whether in Easy Pose or for my knees in Cat/Cow. I love the softness when it's time for Child's Pose. I could not be more pleased. I am going to be studying this summer to become a yoga teacher and when I have students of my own, I will recommend Open Road Goods Heavyweight Yoga Blanket.

This blanket is so cozy and soft and the color is beautiful. I sit with it in meditation on cold mornings, take it on picnics, and use it to cozy up on cold nights. Thinking about getting another color or two.

This blanket was a little more than I wanted to spend, but it’s so soft and comfortable and the colors and design are beautiful. I know I’ll be enjoying this for years to come.

This was a Christmas gift for my wife. I thought that she could use this when we went to our cabin during the winter. The blanket is well crafted. The color is quite vibrant. This blanket was big enough to cover both of us sitting in separate Queen Ann chairs. It is soft and warm and goes great in the cabin. A wonderful purchase. I definitely would purchase another.
