Arrived in a small box, its made up of screw together components, so if you need to break it down and put it in a small gig bag it will easily fit, yet it is a full size stand. The tubing has inner structure so its heavier duty that the cheaper mic stands. It is very stable. I definitely recommend it.

I was a little cautious on buying this as I needed a stand that had long feet. Too short and the slightest knock and it would fall over. This was inexpensive but is a sturdy unit. It is lightweight but the large feet provide stability. For the money it's a good buy.

This stand should easily support common mics like a Shure SM58, but possibly less successful if it's a larger mic with a shock mount and "pop" screen attached to the boom. Lighter than the older, sturdier mic stands of yesteryear. I suspect the adjustment screws will strip their housings within a couple of years of moderate (weekly) use. Be careful how much you tighten the screw knobs, and you will likely extend the life span of this product. It takes some assembly when it arrives, and the instructions are kind of bad, so it helps to be familiar with mic stand construction. The poles may come partially unscrewed with handling (just screw them back together). If you would be the only one using this mic, you'll get to know best handling practices, but if the stand were to be handled by a variety of people, then I might suggest something sturdier (and more expensive). Decent value for the current price point.

This mic comes in several pieces, which have to be screwed into eachother (twisted), and once together essentially the slightest movements loosens the whole system. If you really tighten each piece then under light to light-moderate conditions it will probably hold up, but just barely. Definately not for any type of heavy use or pro use - but for the money I suppose its good value.

This stand is excellent for the money. I would not call it "road worthy", but it is definitely perfect for my intended use in my home studio. The parts that make the stand can be rearranged in multiple configurations making it very versatile as well. I would buy this again without hesitation.

Where to begin. Boom screw doesn't hold boom arm in place, and it's twice as bad because there's also not a secondary boom adjustment to make the boom longer; if it had one and the arm was extended any further, the boom would simply gradually angle down on its own until the mic clip was pointing at the ground. The actual boom is not heavy enough to counterweight anything. Neither the bottom screw nor the plastic clips hold the tripod feet in place so nearly every time you pick the stand up, the feet collapse and have to be reset. The main stand clutch doesn't tighten enough to keep the stand from turning, but since it's made up of four pieces you have to screw together, you also can't be sure exactly where the stand is turning from. Lightweight but actually feels cheap. And the wire clips are pointless because the wire is not held against the stand so all of them turn as the wire weighs them down--eventually to exactly the position you DON'T want them in (you'll understand this one better if you make the mistake of buying this stand). But at least the packaging was pretty good.

I'm NOT using this mic stand as a mic Stand! I got this for a cable management system for my Playstation Vr system. For MY purposes it works GREAT! I paired it one with one automatic reeling mounting clip to keep my wires outta the way while I game and for purposed I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! I want to be clear im not a musician and that's not what I got this for but as far as quality price ,and ease to assemble I have zero complains!
