No significant loss of power to our cable modem, clear MoCA transmissions. Does the job!
One day, without warning, after many years of faithful service - our cable modem stopped connecting to the Internet. Our broadband company came in, stated we had a problem with a low signal to the cable modem, and "solved" it by bypassing our MoCA network. Clearly, we were on our own on how we could give the modem a clear signal, but still connect our MoCA network. We attached the network line to the "in" connection, our cable modem line to one of the outputs, and the rest of our MoCA network to the second connection. Problem solved. Modem and MoCA connections are working together again. Pros: + Preserves signal strength well, even in our case where the signal strength was marginal. Internet speeds are back to normal. + Doesn't interfere with MoCA networks - they're just as fast as before. Cons: + Why didn't the cable company put one in? Oh, yeah. They're a monopoly. They don't have to. + Just works. Won't actually improve performance.

Quality product
Works well, same brand my cable company uses (TWC So. Cal.) thought that was a good vote of confidence and hasn't proven to be a mistake. Much better than even the best from the local department stores. Had one of the high end units from local home improvement store fail on one of the splits and after taking a couple apart noticed most cheap ones the backs come right off and aren't solder sealed. The components inside are usually the same or very similar between the levels of "quality". I think you are mostly paying for "looks" and the case design. This unit has the back soldered on making a weatherproof seal and RF protected and with my research that seems to be one element concerning proof of quality. Cable modem signal is stronger through this unit than with other models.

Signal loss.
It’s might be OK for use in some applications. However, using this splitter with a TV setup, I lost some channels. I’ve removed it and I am using my old 2 port splitter that works much better and drops less channels. Also, Amazon does not allow this product to be returned.

simple and works
Not much tech in these. As long as they work, they are good to go. This was the right price and arrived quickly.

Not much to say about this video splitter. It works just as expected. Good product.

Good enouigh for my cable provider, works quite well
I guess you'd have to rate a product like this according to whether or not it just works or just doesn't work at all. How do you give 5 stars to a 2-way splitter, unless the thing somehow "improves" a signal (most of them don't, nor are they designed to). I have a couple of pricey faux-gold-plated name brand splitters that actually didn't transmit a signal as cleanly as this Antronix can. I'd prefer to work with an unaltered signal; it appears that this splitter, except for the usual -3.5 db loss, sends exactly the same signal it receives. I can't say as much for the high-priced spread I compare it to, whose image looked a bit darker and warmish, with somewhat dense blacks. I note that my cable provider uses this same splitter along with a similar Viewsonics model. Cable companies use products that fulfill several critical requirements. The splitter should not materially alter the incoming or returning signal (the usual 1/2 loss being unavoidable). It shouldn't have side effects that could damage the customer's equipment or create problems on the company's network (which some pricey splitters are known to do). In this case, the splitter should be optimally designed for HD cable use, not for satellite or antenna. According to the cable company, this Antronix fills the bill in all respects. According to my eyes, it works just as well or better than the $30 gold-plated ripoff I replaced with this product -- in fact, my picture looks slightly but visibly less noisy than before.

Great splitter for cable TV!
I purchased a splitter at a big box store to use on my cable line to split Internet and TV signal. The splitter caused my HDTV signal to cut out pretty bad and the modem could never get a strong signal. I bought this splitter due to the advertised isolation on the out legs. This thing works great! My cable modem has a great signal and can lock onto a DOCSIS signal and my HDTV is crystal clear.
