Born and raised in the Hudson Valley, ceramics designer Nicholas Newcomb fell in love with all things natural and beautiful. The air plant is part of a very unique family called the Bromeliads. It's relatives are a varied bunch, but include Spanish Moss and the Pineapple. Despite strong family ties, these little guys don't rely on their roots at all! They absorb water through their leaves, and in the wild they rely on their tiny roots only to help them hold on to trees, rocks and other surfaces.
