All Natural Handmade Green Sandalwood Prayer Bracelet -A01

I was really looking forward to getting this bracelet after having read the glowing reviews. At the price of just over $3, I can't really be too angry or surprised that it didn't end up being what I hoped. When I recieved the bracelet, it looked pretty nice, and I agree with other reviewers that the bungee by which the beads are connected is sturdy. As for the beads? They are awful! They looked good for exactly one day. Within 24 hours, they started to turn blue! They have not been exposed to water or chemicals of any kind. It appears as though there was an ultra thin varnish on the beads to give them a bit of shine and it is already mostly gone! They started off brown and now have this weird bluish/greenish patina. They look worn and old and cheap. I can't explain what happened here, but what started off as a nice looking product is deteriorating at a rapid clip. No big loss at this price, but next time I will spend a little more money.Interestingly, the product page says this bracelet is usually $50+. Ha ha ha! I would be having a coronary right this instant if I had paid that.The picture provided is misleading. The beads look polished to a high shine. The beads on my bracelet are cheap and the varnish is useless, as it cannot stand up to mere air. Don't buy.I have published a photo of the aforementioned bracelet. You can view it on the product page and judge for yourself.Update: After a few weeks of having the bracelet, it has actually settled into having a really earthy look (once all the varnish wore off). I am actually liking it much more now. I changed my original one star to three stars. As I mentioned before, for the cost of $3, you don't have much to lose in buying :)

The wooden piece at the knot broke it half. The knot came out and to add to it there was no smell of sandalwood.

It arrived faster than I had expected. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bracelet was wide enough to comfortable fit around a man's wrist with room to spare. It was greener than I thought it would be (greener than the picture), and it smelled strongly of sandalwood. The reason I give this a 4 star review instead of 5 is because it does not look like the picture. I specifically counted the beads in the picture and made my decision to order this bracelet based on the number of beads. Without counting the cone bead at the top, my bracelet only had 18 beads. To be honest, this wasn't too troubling, because the bracelet still fit around a man's wrist, which is what the bottom line was. But the picture and the actual bracelet do not look the same. I will try to post a picture at a later date, when I am able.

I really like this mala. I have a large wrist and this mala fits snugly, but it's not uncomfortable. I enjoy the larger beads and the scent is wonderful. The beads are not consistently colored nor finished but that isn't a complaint. I like the uniqueness of each bead. My only real complaint is that some of the beads are starting to chip. I don't mind the imperfections at all, but it does make me weary of the longevity of the beads.I do notice some irritation on my wrist after long periods of use, but I assume it's because the sandalwood's oils cause a mild reaction to my skin. It's not enough to bother me greatly, but I would keep an eye for more serious allergic reactions. They are always possible with organic and unfinished materials such as these.

I'm very happy with this simple and inexpensive sandalwood mala beads! It was on Amazon Prime, of which I am a member, so it came practically overnight, packaged along with some other items and in perfect condition. You can't beat the price! The beads are substantial and have the familiar greenish hue of sandalwood, a slightly detectable scent which I enhanced by massaging them with sandalwood essential oil upon receipt, and there is a lovely "flower" decoration made out of the ends of the stretchy dark brown material used to string the beads. I have a small- to medium-sized wrist and I can put 4 fingers between my wrist and the bracelet comfortably without any sensation of pressure on my wrist (to help you judge sizing - if you are a guy or a gal with a chunky wrist, I think you can safely order this and be happy and comfortable). I am interested in ayurvedic medicine, purchased this because I am Pitta dosha and sandalwood is famed for its cooling fragrance and aroma for cooling Pitta and clearing heat from the urinary, digestive and respiratory systems. Overall, I am perfectly happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

Bought this for a friend after he liked mine that is years old. So that speaks to its comfort and durability. Slightly different color of wood, but still the same quality. He put it on immediately and thanked me happily. Isn't it fun to surprise someone for no reason except a smile?

Doesn’t have the fragrance like the real Sandalwood

The wrist mala itself is beautiful, arrived at a reasonable time, however it is not the one in the picture. The one in the picture has 20 beads, I have a necklace mala, and I use my wrist and neck malas for spiritual mantras and meditation. The wrist mala you receive has 18 beads including the guru bead. I would have liked the 20 bead wrist mala in the picture, but the one I received will work just as good =). Peace and Love everyone, it is a good product and I trust the seller.
