what is the Bodum Assam tea pot handle made of ?

Plastic. It is sturdy. I am on my second. I brew tea every day, at least once a day. I have been using one of these for at least 15 years. The first one cracked in an accident. It works for me.

My teapot was made in Portugal.

What's the difference betweent this Assam tea press model, and the other one listed under the same name? One looks like it has a plastic handle(?)

Can you buy another infuser? We bought some Chinese teas which claim you can use them 6-8 times.

Yes, you can buy another infuser. You may have to go into Bodum's site to find them, but you get them. These stainless steel ones last a really long time.
