2016 Flagship Model Asus Dark Blue 14 inch EEEBOOK Laptop PC, Intel Dual-Core Processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB SSD, HDMI, VGA, Bluetooth, SD Card Reader, WiFi, Windows 10

I bought 2 of these computers for each of my children and I am impressed with the performance of them being as they were only about $200 each. Having SSD instead of the traditional SATA Drives and a 4gb RAM helps improve the speed of the computer. It comes with a 32gb hard drive which isn't much, but it's sufficient for middle school use and when you need more hard drive space, there is a spot underneath where you can add another SSD to upgrade your computer. I also have an ASUS with a SSD, but it is a more expensive model. I only buy ASUS, because I have always had positive results with ASUS and so why would I change brands?

After researching since my asus e402s would not install the newer version on windows 10 due to space..I found an article won MSFT concerning this issue...I downloaded the W indows 10 to a USB drive/I used a SanDisk Cruzer/has to be at least 8 gb...anyway I booted from the USB by going to settings and it is installing without a pop up as of now. I think it will work as this is a compressed version for laptops with limited space..at first it said I could not use any of the partitions but I chose the 3rd one listed//largest one and only one with GB vs MB of space and away she went anyway even though prompt told me I couldnt do it. If it does not work out I will come back and postI was not allowed to post the website I got the info on how to do this but it is a microsoft website and I entered/asus e402s will not update to current version of windows 10 and it popped u//I want top add that the laptop is running really fast and has been a week with no issues since I posted review//review was not allowed/original review that it/becuase i posted the link i am assuming to the info page//anyway//it worked!

Had to send computer to ASUS repair center in California 2 weeks after purchase since the computer would randomly shut itself off. Asus were very kind to provide free shipping and repair. However, the computer still has many issues over the 9 months I have used it.The wifi will randomly disconnect from the internet, when everyone else in the room still has access. The display driver must have some issues because every now and them, random black lines and weird colored shapes will appear on the screen which seem to resolve upon restart. The sound is great, unfortunately the speakers never seem to work after unplugging headphones, and sometimes won't work even upon rebooting. I have kept all drivers up to date, and issues still recur. The screen will randomly freeze too such that the mouse cursor won't even move. Extremely disappointing, especially since this happened once during the middle of an exam.

before buying this I asked a few questions about game playing,I can play (some) games, the problem is 2 days after I got it Windows 10 tried downloading one of their never ending updates and there isn't enough room for it. Windows 10 that came with it takes up nearly all the space on here. what good is it when Windows 10 fills it up?

It does what it's supposed to do, especially for the price. But there is a problem with the sound, when you have earphones plugged in. It stops or it makes a buzzing noise. You have to stop and restart the video or song. The pad is stiff and it gets stuck when you press on the right sometimes and then text gets selected and moved around without your control. The battery life isn't as impressive as the 11,6 inches, that I've had for a few years now. That was my reason for buying this one. Can't say I regret it, but I expected a bit better.
