These are great notebooks for making small weekly bullet journals or doodling. They each have about 20 pages and the paper is pretty thick so you could use the milky gel pins or any kind of gel pen I love this black paper and the way everything pops!

The paper is true black paper and not dyed. I bought white pens (gelly roll) vs the regular metallic pens. I really think the pens make a difference with paper like this. If you have crappy pens, it's not going to show up so make sure you get good quality metallic pens or gel pens for black paper. I will definitely be back for more when I am done with these. The only thing I wish these had is lines.

The picture with Smoother Pro pen test were on one side of the paper.and thepicture with the White Sakura White Gelly Roll 10 point bold pen was on the other side.I don't know -- maybe I have a heavy hand ;-).But now I see the impressions on the other side of the sheet.So maybe -- if I want to preserve the quality of the image -- I should only write on one side.But still VERY nice paper! I love the booklet! I prefer this booklet to tablets with spiral binding.

My granddaughter wanted black paper to use with her paint pens. I think this paper will be perfect.

VERY nice deep black pages. If only they would've been twice as big and twice as many pages, I would've bought a whole lot more.
