A floor mop that takes cleaning seriously
I have both ceramic tile and wood flooring in my home. I have tried all sorts of mops over years, but all were very disappointing in their results. I would end up having to get down on my hands and knees to scrub the floors. At my age, that is painful and takes forever. The Shark Genius Steam Pocket Mop changed all of that. It does a great job. It doesn't leak, It fits into tight spaces, the blasts of steam lift off stubborn stains and spills. The mop head cloths are easily removed and can be dropped into the washer and dryer. You can even buy extra mop head cloths so you don't run out when doing the whole house. Other features include a long cord, mop heads which can be easily switched or removed, and it hardly takes more space in a closet than a broom does.

Love it!
I bought this because I love my shark vacuums...yes, I own several. This mop is amazing. It cleans my kitchen and hardwood floors on setting one. It cleans the tiled bathrooms on setting three. I love that idea don't need smelly cleaners. It's quick and easy to use. It heats up in under a minute. You can flip the head and use both side without touching it. It pops off without touching it. I feel like it disinfects the floors which I love in the bathrooms. Floors dry almost immediately. The cord is long so I don't have to replug it often even though my house is large. Two things to note. It doesn't stand up well even when you lean it against something. Don't leave it stand on a hardwood or laminate floor after it is hot. It might damage the surface. It's fine on tile. I put mine in the closet immediately and never let it sit on the floor. I learned my lesson when it damaged the finish on my hardwood floor. I applied the finish I use and it immediately remedied the problem but I won't take that risk again. Worth the money. I am shocked at how dirty my floors are. The first time I used it, my husband had mopped the kitchen floor that morning. We couldn't believe how dirty the mop was when I was done which took my less than 10 minutes. The only thing I would change is that I wish I could bleach the mops to get them clean again.

oh yes buy this
Ok so I was pretty torn about what to buy for this new house because I have never had wood floors before and the price range and list of options is pretty huge. You can go all the way down to the cheapest wetjet knockoff for like $15? Or all the way up to a $300 all-in-one Bissell. So I really took the time to read a ton of reviews and research. The Bissell has potential to be better but with a fair amount of complaints too and quite a bit higher price point so I decided to go with this Shark instead. Now when I was younger I remember my mom having some piece-of-you-know-what Shark vacuum so my memories of the brand weren't glowing lol. But technology has come a long way and you can't really judge a company based on your memories of a really old product. And besides that was a vacuum and this is a steamer to boot! So I put those negative thoughts away and decided to try this shark steamer and I'm so happy I did! I have been cleaning like 1000 sq. ft. of sealed wood floors for a few weeks and the difference is night and day. I bought some Bono wood floor cleaner too because all my friends in my mommy group said it was the best, but I haven't even used it yet because the Shark with just water has done such a good job! I also love that the Shark doesn't force you to buy microtransactions in the form of brand-specific cleaners like someone else *cough* it's just water! And I was skeptical that "just water" could even do such a good job but since it's hot steam it's really something else. The floors are starting to look so shiny and they were so dirty a few weeks ago from years without a deep cleaning (I just moved in here so don't look at me lol!) and also current snow drips and such getting tracked in. Now they're looking shiny and almost new. I'm thinking another few full steams in the coming weeks and they probably will look NEW, but I am already loving the shine from the previously dull wood. I keep catching myself admiring it. And it feels so nice to walk barefoot or even in my socks, sliding around on CLEAN floors. And it's pretty easy to use. It takes a LITTLE elbow grease on a really dirty wood floor, but it just slides over the tiles and laminate in the kitchen and bathroom. I would recommend this to anyone with hard floors honestly. It's awesome. Way more effective than a Swiffer Wetjet and way cheaper with better reviews than the all-in-one Bissell.

Great Steamer Mop!
This is my first steam mop and I really like the degree of heat that is uses to clean my wood and tile floors. My floors do look better since I used the mop to clean them and I have only used it once so far. I used it on Friday morning and my floors still feel really clean after 2 days. A matter of fact I always use a house slippers (of late), but since I used this steam mop I have been strutting around here barefooted, lol, imagine that (I usually tip toe around while I'm looking for my house slippers)? I have tree boys under 12, and when they were creeping and were toddlers (roughly 10 years ago) I used a popular brand steamer that would leave my entire house wet for 3/4s of a day - Not so with this steamer mop!!! I now live in a house that has wood, tile, and carpeted floors and this is the first since the boys were babies that my house has experienced this degree of clean, even though up to last week, I used to mop frequently with a squeeze dry sponge mop (which I never trusted). As a teacher turned stay at home Mom and wife, I always felt the need to keep my house clean but had so much trouble maintaining it. By that I mean I would constantly spray the floors - especially in the kitchen where the fridge and other appliances met the cabinets and woodwork - with bleach etc, leave them for a while, then scrub them while breathing that intoxicating, poisonous scent. Now with this steamer all I do is flip the steamer mop head over, tilt the handle backward and voila, I have an extra burst of steam hitting the ground in those places, then I simply wipe it away. How cool is that? Go ahead and buy it you will not regret it! I wish I had sooner. I bought a dyson animal 2 that I absolutely love and I use that on my bare floors before I used my steamer mop but all you have to do is sweep your floors before you use the steamer mop. I gave it four stars because I think the water tank could be a little bit fatter to hold more water. After every two rooms I had to refill the water tank. It also prefers distilled water and I'd rather feed it with pipe water. The mat doesn't turn back to off white when you wash it which is not good (but the edges of the mat are a true white, which is good).

Floors look & feel so much cleaner now!
This is the first steam mop I’ve owned and I’m very happy with it so far! I live in an apartment with laminate or vinyl flooring (not sure what it is honestly) and the wet Swiffer just wasn’t cutting it. I felt like the floors never got clean enough, especially with my big german shepherd boy in the house. I used to have one of those spin mops which I actually liked but no longer have the space or desire to store a bulky mop bucket. Setting up the mop was super easy and intuitive (didnt even need instructions). I got started working in sections, vacuuming and sweeping the floors before I used the steamer and immediately noticed the difference by the time I finished the first area, which was the kitchen. I think I refilled the water tank at least 4-5 times during the entire cleaning session, but to be fair, I used it on the highest setting since it was my first time deep cleaning the floors. I really liked the slim refilling cup that came with the mop! It made refilling super quick and easy with no mess or spilling. (Btw, I used distilled water, as recommended in the instruction manual). The cord was long enough that I only needed to switch outlets twice for the entire kitchen, living room, dining room and hallway area. I loved that I could easily flip sides with the mop head! I threw the used mop head in the washer (by itself) using detergent with oxiclean and a splash of bleach and it came out nice & clean, just not as white as before (which is expected). The entire unit fit easily in my hall closet, taking up very little room. My floors look 10x better now! My space feels so much cleaner and fresher! I sent before and after pics of my bathroom floor to my sister and she immediately asked what I used and saved this mop to her wish list! Very happy with my new mop!

Finally a steamer that works! You won't be sorry.
AAA++++ Tried this steamer at a clients house with five pets and it did exactly what I wanted the Bissell Steamer to do, cut through nasty pet and cooking stains, hair balls, jam and more. As an owner of 3 cats and a chef I highly recommend this. Comes in 3 parts and 30 sec assembly. Video below was it's first test at home right out of the box. This mess is dried on spilled egg, from making Panko mushrooms and zucchini last week, that I spilled down the side of my oven and counter last week. I had the Bissell Power steamer 2685 series, Heavy Duty Steam Mop I spent $150+ on two years ago. This steamer just never worked good and I regret not sending it back withing the return time. It stopped working completely and started clicking right after it's warranty expired conveniently enough of course. I ordered this to replace it and I am thrilled at the results. Even with the weird angle with my oven pulled out it was super satisfying to be able to blast/melt it away the dried on egg mess with the strong steam jet. I struggled a little because of the angle in the video but it shoots out a steady blast of hot steam when flip the pad over and you are hitting a spot head on and boy was this egg super dooper hard to remove, I tried!! This passed the test with flying colors. My favorite feature, other than the steam blaster, is the touch-free technology. I don't have to ever touch a gross hairball pad again! Just click the pad release button and bam it's off. To put a pad on click the button to undo the grabbers and plop onto of a new pad, click clack each side and away you go! I ordered a 6 pack of extra pads too. Whoo hoo thank you for making a kick arse product! 😺 😺 😺 🧑🍳 Only negative thing is that I highly suggest keeping a watch on the price, after ordering one within 2 days it dropped $20, I hadn't even opened it yet so I ordered another and sent the $20 more expensive one back. I wish Amazon did a 30day price match like other retailers like 🎯 to avoid this issue in the future, they don't state that they do when I went looking, I was later told my a friend that you just have to call Amazon and they will refund the difference over the phone, maybe put that in the returns section in writing to avoid excess use of shipping/ CO2 gas and shipping wait times in the future. I paid $59.99 for this one.

Wow!
The amount of dirt this thing picked up while cleaning, I was pretty much stunned. I have "hardwood" floor in the kitchen/eating area. Our sliding door in the kitchen leads out to the backyard. We are renting and our backyard is basically one big giant mud patch that is our dog's playground and that is it. We have an 80ish pound German/Australian shepherd dog who seems to track mud/dirt everywhere when he comes inside the house. Me being the clean freak that I am, cannot stand this. I bought dog shoes for him, just to wear in the backyard so that has definitely improved our mud situation, but I still needed a really good cleaning product to keep our dark brown floors free of paw prints and dirt. I basically clean the floors everyday and I would always do it on my hands and knees because that would ensure I was getting everything. Well, after a while, you would imagine that wasn't the highlight of my day. I saw the reviews for this steam mop and I was like heck, might as well! Snagged it when it was on sale off of Amazon and tried it out immediately when I got it. WOW! So great! Even on the low heat setting, it amazed me what just water/steam could do. I love how I can just wash the pads and that the floor dries so quickly! I mop it and within seconds it is dry! I combined this steam mop with the Method floor cleaner in spearmint and sage (it is a squeeze bottle) and the floor is clean and smells great! As a side note: I do not put the Method cleaner in the machine itself (as you shouldn't put anything in there besides water), instead I just spray it directly on the floor and go over it with the mop. Personally I do this because I like the "clean" smell it produces, as without the Method cleaner, the floor would end up clean with the mop, it just wouldn't smell "clean." I also read that you can put some essential oils on the pad itself and that will create a lovely smell when mopping as well. Long story short, well worth the investment!! The only complaint I have is the handle itself, it is a circle and uncomfortable in my opinion to grip and makes it sort of weird to maneuver the thing, but a minor complaint compared to all the amazingness it has!

Mop like a man.
2900 sq ft home with all of downstairs hardwood floors and tile - this Shark cleaned it all on a tank and a quarter and that was a first steam clean with me taking my time and going over stained and difficult spots well. (And time for both of our pre-teen daughters to try mopping for the first time - that alone was easily worth the $) Used one side of the two included (4 sides in total) cleaning mats and the floors are magnificent. The Shark heated up quickly and kept an even, consistent volume of steam across the mop head for the whole time. Since then several more areas cleaned - bathrooms, laundry room and I'm having a good time doing it. The cord can be very mildly annoying but for that necessary and very minor issue I get floors that are perfectly clean. I haven't gone to Max heat yet (but I will) - it's more than effective on medium steam and I was being monitored by those who think Max = plasma mode/floor melting. Gentlemen will of course, wait until they go out to try it. No more nasty, smelly, molded and mildewing junk mops that last a few months at best and are a money pit for replacement sponges/heads. No weird spin system pain in the wallet gimmicky drama mops. Good riddance. I think especially if you have kids, pets that are on the floors playing and also bring whatever is on the floors into beds and couches, etc. this is a no brainier. If you have to clean floors do it with a steam-spewing fire stick that scares germs to death. Then sit and enjoy praise and adoration from a grateful, awed family.

I got these as gifts for 3 family members. It changed my life.
Steam mopping changed my life. With 4 dogs in the house (minpins) I needed to mop weekly. This makes mopping and sanitizing a breeze. My family members were swiffering and complaining about streaks well cue the music and open the curtains because your new mop will change all that!! I love Shark and Dyson products. From vacuums to steamers they always deliver beyond their price point. I have 2 upright vacs and a stick vac from shark and never had a problem straight up quality every product. This is the 3rd steam mop I bought. the first generation got clogged and worn out. I gave the second to a buddy because the one I bought at costco was sitting around for a few years and my mop heads were worn through. So i ordered new heads and gave it to my friend and started using this model. Don't mop barefoot because proximity will give you a hotfoot.

Excellent product!!!!
Love this steamer. My first steamer so I have no other product to compare it to, but it does a great job cleaning. Cord is long which is a bonus. The dirt on the mop cloth after a cleaning on my ceramics is impressive, and tiles have never looked better. (Use the highest steam setting for ceramics). However this model does not have a grout cleaner head, so doesn't get into the groves for my grout, but I am ok with that. For my hardwood, I have found for it to work best that you need a brand new clean mop cloth after cleaning ceramics (buy extra for yourself separately, you will need them), and put on lowest steam setting. Move quick over wood, and then always rest the steamer on a ceramic area of your home if taking break from hardwood floor cleaning, not on the wood as too much water sitting on hardwood is bad for the wood. I like to buff damp hardwood floor with a separate dry hardwood floor mop, one that I already had, as this takes off the damp haze that might form, which makes the hardwood floor look shiny brilliant! I also use the same technique for my basement's laminate wood floors, and works really well there as well. I actually love cleaning my floors now and don't avoid it, lol!
