Rockville dB55 4000 Watt/2000w RMS 5 Channel Amplifier Car Stereo Amp, Loud dB55 4000 Watt/2000w RMS 4 Channel Amplifier Car Stereo Amp, Loud!!

I replaced my Skar Audio SK-M9005 (also 5 channel) with this Rockville DB55 (after the Skar amp blew off with a popcorn smell after four years of great performance). I must say Rockville is an underrated brand. Those who know and have used their products will only know the quality of their products. I’ve connected this amp to 4 x Cadence Sound coaxial speakers, 2 x Skar Audio tweeters, 1 x Kicker Solo Baric 46TL7T and Alpine head unit. I must say, I was blown away by the performance of this amp. Had to put a black cloth sticker on the blue LED light on the bass remote because it was so annoying. Excellent value for money!

i got 4 speakers that are 110w rms 4ohm this amp does 80w rms 4ohm but it sounds good i also have a 1000w sub and i'm quite happy handles it super well just make sure you have a strong 4 gauge ground and 12V i also went with a 200amp fuse at the battery

I purchased this product for over $200 in May 2024. Initially, I was hesitant because I doubted it could deliver 1000 watts of RMS power. However, I’ve been using it to power 100 watts of 4-door speakers and a 12-inch subwoofer, and I’m amazed by the clear sound it produces and the earth-shattering power. A year after my purchase, I decided to write this review. This amp has held up remarkably well. I’ve owned many name-brand amplifiers, and by far, this one surpasses them in terms of power and price ratio. I guarantee that anyone who purchases this product will be completely satisfied. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Nice 5-channel amp. It does not have any built-in fans so you have to rely on external sources to cool it. The whole body acts like a large heatsink which makes it difficult to cool if trying to hide this into a small space. The only complain I have is with the Bass control remote and not the amp. The little blue LED power light on the remote was way too bright and it burned itself out within 2 weeks of installation. I am fine with it since the light was annoying me too much but I can see it might be a problem for someone else.

En temas cualitativos me hace extrañar un poco al JBL que ha reemplazado. Pero es justo decir que hace el 85% del trabajo con el 40% del costo. Vale la pena! Que no me gusta: las conexiones de bocinas, especialmente la del SW que es del mismo tamaño que el resto de las bocinas, son muy pequeñas. Eso hace que conectarlo sea muy laborioso. Es necesario subir a la parte alta los controles de volumen del amplificador, aprox el 80% para tener la respuesta del ampli anterior (un GTO 5500); pero no llega a la saturación tampoco. Tiene una estructura de plástico a los lados que considero innecesaria y porque aumenta el tamaño sin agregar mayor valor y eso dificulta su instalación si el espacio es reducido. La potencia del SW es muy adecuada y no se queda corto. Hasta ahora ha aguantado los abusos del alto volumen sin protestar. Tiene un timbre particularmente agudo (nadie escucha esto solo yo, es justo decirlo también) y pienso que esto sacrifica un poco la respuesta de los medios que, con un poco de equalización de mi DSP, queda impercetible... (al menos para todos los demás). Una excelente opción económica para tener un sonido de buena calidad.
