This is a very cost effective, study, supposedly USA made railing. Nothing fancy here, just functionality. This comes with EVERYTHING you need to install except a drill and hammer and wrench. I installed into cement stairs. Pros: Sturdy, simple, easy to assemble, good instructions, all needed bolts for wood or masonry, drill bits for wood and masonry, ruler, pencil/depth gauge, etc. Cons: the drill bit for masonry, while included, is poor quality. I resorted to one of my Milwaukee masonry bits in 5/16 and it made drilling much more efficient and quick. I found the instructions for depth of hole in masonry short. I think you can go 2.75 inches, not 2.5. I had to cut my bolts down after even though I followed the drill depth as instructed. Don't follow the tip for putting nuts on the bolts when you hammer into cement,that just messed up the nuts and threads. The bolts are designed to take hammer whacks without peening over and if you drill proper hole size and depth you'll be fine That's my experience. Lesson learned: take your time, mark your holes BUT, decide which post you will put in first, drill those holes and mount your first upright, then reassemble and check your hole markings for last upright. I'll bet you will need to adjust hole markings to keep railings snug and tight on last upright. All in all I am buying at least one more, maybe two. Seems like a good company and a good product. Time will tell.

I had to replace some wrought iron railings on a repaired concrete porch, but did not want to spend a lot of money. After a lot of research, I landed on this rail. The video tutorials are helpful, and give a good sense of what you've got in-store. The railings are relatively easy to assemble (although the included instructions could be a tad more clear) and if you take your time, you can figure it out. Packaging is great; upper post and lower post are clearly marked; just remember to keep them straight when you unwrap them. Also remember to assemble it loosely so you can get your plates marked properly. Once you secure the plates, THEN you tighten up the rails. That makes it easier to center where you want it, and also is beneficial if the measurements of your steps are not exact. The rails come with all of the necessary hardware, plus a marking pencil, plus the necessary drivers, plus the fasteners/bolts you need for both wood and concrete decks/steps. They include concrete wedge anchors with the package as well, which I'm sure are fine. But, after researching, I decided to use Tapcon anchors like these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009AHMCA?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title The 3/8 inch anchors were just right, fit the holes in the plates perfectly and, in my opinion, were easier to work with than the wedge anchors. They resulted in a solid and secure installation, and I'm quite pleased with the result. Going with 4 stars, not 5, because of the slight clarity issues with the instructions, and because I think using tapcons rather than wedge anchors is a better choice.

We wanted a small 3 step railing for new side porch but I didn’t really want to add additional 4x4 posts anchored into the treads for something that was so small. Found this product on Amazon and it looked like it was the perfect solution. Only took 15 minutes to install and looks very nice and is steady solid. Came with a great hardware kit for either anchoring into concrete or lagging into treads. Included concrete drill bit, wood drill bit, screw bit, lag bit, 6” bit extension, small ruler, short bubble level and they even threw in a pencil to mark holes. The finish is a good heavy black powder coating. If I had any complaints it would be that the base covers are just cheap two-piece plastic that comes apart easily if you bump your toe into them. They should be made of the same powder coated metal. All in all it’s a great little railing kit.

I ordered the 3-step version for a small set of steps leading into my house from my garage. Some of the best installation instructions I’ve encountered for a product. Very simple to follow. All of the needed tools (except a drill) are included. Installation by myself took about 45 minutes. I would expect it to take a little longer if you’re mounting into concrete. Very sturdy and good looking final product. *Excellent Customer Service - the final step of installation was to install the 2-piece post covers, to hide the bolts where it mounts to the steps. I had not unwrapped these mounts until the end, and discovered I had been shipped an older version of their covers, which were 1-piece. I would have had to disassemble the entire railing to put these on. I texted their customer service with my issue on a Saturday, and they responded within in hour advising they would ship the correct covers. I received the covers on Wednesday, just 4 days later. Outstanding!

I just finished installing on the three steps into the house from the garage. I must say that I am VERY impressed! This handrail is high quality, good looking, rock solid, and relatively easy to install. The hardest part was drilling eight holes in the 40 year-old concrete. The supplied bit with my regular drill wouldn't cut it - I had to buy a hammer drill, but then it was easy. But that isn't a flaw with this product. Several reviewers have mentioned having to drill 3/8" holes rather than the 5/16" holes that are supposed to fit the concrete anchors, but I didn't have that problem. The anchors were a tight fit, but no problem to hammer in. Now that I've seen how nice this is, I'm ordering another of these handrails for the steps leading up to my front door.

Does the job it was design for Good Product

I've never seen a self assembly product that was as well thought out as this one! Fasteners for wood and concrete are included and all driver bits for every fastener as well as drill bits, a ruler, a pencil(pre-sharpened) & even a mini spirit level! The only thing you need is a cordless drill/impact driver. The railing kit itself is of great quality and is super easy to assemble with the included instructions, the finished install looks great and is very sturdy. Highly recommended!

I usually don't write product reviews but this one needed some praise. The railing is of great quality and was easy to assemble. Everything you needed was included in the package. Ruler, pencil, spirit level and even drill bits were included. Only took about half an hour and we had a railing on our steps. Would highly recommend this product and seller to anyone looking to install some railings.

What a find. We needed a banister for the back of my elderly father’s house where he has steps down to the garden. We have had quotes in for people to make something bespoke which were understandably very expensive. Then I came across this product. We ordered it thinking for that price it would be a load of rubbish and how wrong we were. The build quality is excellent, easy to follow instructions and a QR code to a video which we used and every conceivable tool required to fit including drill bits, bolt tightener, bit extender, pencil, ruler, level and more the only thing missing was a drill. This product is brilliant an 87 year old man and me his 56 year old daughter fitted it.
