Great Read - Highly Recommended!
The author, through his main character, conveyed rock bottom in a very real and raw way. The character of Ian was very honest and vulnerable about his weaknesses. Not the obvious person to hit rock bottom, not someone that you would even outwardly know was struggling, but a guy privately at his wits end. It was fascinating to see this piece of his journey and transformation - specifically his relationship with women. The author brings the characters to life and the reader into his world with his descriptive writing. I enjoyed the book and look forward to his next book.

A beautiful story on self-transformation
Waiting Impatiently is a timely and relatable story to anybody who finds themselves on a journey to Self. When we are forced to look at ourselves and surrender to our true nature, will we choose to ignore it, or go through it? Will we pay attention to what the universe is teaching us?I really like how the author modernized a story that has been told throughout spiritual history, the transformation of a man from his rock-bottom to enlightenment. The stories that are the hardest to tell, are the ones that need telling the most.I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but, like a true Zen Master, it left me with more questions than answers.

A journey worth taking
Wonderfully descriptive; Complex while still accessible. Sights, sounds, visions jump off the page. Themes woven in with subtlety linger and leave the reader with a lot to contemplate—about the book, the characters and a general approach to beliefs and attachments. Like a previous reviewer indicated, this story sucks you in and sticks with you long after the read is finished.

A Powerful Story of Transformation
Waiting Impatiently is an emotionally charged rollercoaster that takes you through a powerful story of transformation, hope and redemption. The characters are your guide and springboard you from low to high backed by the power of human intervention to change perceptions of what life has to offer. It is a fundamentally hopeful account of the inventory of challenges, despair and profound disillusionment that can be shifted with the power of personal discovery. A wonderful read with an important message.

Engaging & difficult to put down
I thoroughly enjoyed this book because it moves quickly, is well written and is not predictable. Ian represents the fact that no single person is perfect and the practice of yoga & mindfulness is one that is never perfected. We are all human and prone to failure and the most important lesson is that we can overcome our demons and those dark places which try to suck us in and smother us. Every day requires effort and discipline to stay on track and Ian shows us imperfection and unconditional love can co exist. Don’t judge Ian too harshly in the beginning of the book, just go along for the ride and discover how this touching story unfolds.

Excellent book!
For a long time I have been "impatiently" waiting for this book to be printed, and now it's out with amazing reviews. A tale about a man facing the world that is completely shutting down, and with that his own soul too. A man that seemed to have it all, in a blink of an eye, felt his own breakage, his own misery, and his coward attitude towards love. We rarely read or hear about men internal fears, their emotional lost battles or inner doubts, so it was refreshing to read about a true man without any filters. Sharp narration. Merciless in its spiritual description, this novel, offers an opportunity for readers to believe that there is always a healthy journey to self-transformation. Excellent book for a crisp fall afternoon.
