Not only is this written by a contemporary, but a family member, and one who had access to and provides numerous primary sources from the Saint himself. Love his story-- a great saint for modern times, just the kind of person one admires today. Generous, kind, giving of himself, but also very well-liked and popular. Someone who stood up for his beliefs, even when they were unpopular with the fascist regime.

Pier Giorgio was a person who really lived the beatitudes. His love of the poor and his selfless dedication to those who needed Christ's love is a model of what every Christian's life should be.

This books is an inspiration for all who read it. Pier Giorgio was a beautiful young man whose story shows what a thoroughly good person is like.

I loved the Blessed Pier Giorgio. I have read better, however this is a marvelous work! I would recomend it to all, especially3rd order Dominicans!
