The DB25-G delivers about 20W typical output, with up to 25W under optimal setup conditions. Actual output can vary based on your setup. Factors such as a power supply below 13.8V, high SWR of the antenna, or cable loss can result in lower readings.

Why does the radio receive but not transmit on some channels?

Some GMRS/FRS shared channels have power or transmission restrictions. The DB25-G is designed to follow GMRS channel rules, so certain channels may be receive-only or limited depending on the channel and settings.

Q: I am having trouble getting the programming cable to connect. Is the port defective?

A: The 3.5mm data port on this compact unit can be quite tight. Please ensure the plug is pushed firmly all the way in until you hear or feel a "click." Most connection issues are resolved by ensuring a fully seated data plug.

Does the scan function stop on weather channels (NOAA)?

A: By default, the scan may stop on NOAA channels if they have a strong signal. You can customize your scan list in the menu or via programming software to exclude NOAA channels from the regular scan cycle, allowing you to focus on GMRS traffic.
