Cute and Very Functional
I ordered this to be able to use in our small above ground pool. In particular, I ordered this one because of how cute it is. My grandkids just love it and push it around in the pool. It's the perfect size for our pool and actually looks like a little turtle floating on top of the water. The biggest reason I bought it, of course, is to help keep the water clear and clean. It's very well made and has already taken a little beating from my little ones. The bottom chlorine holder is easy to screw on as well. I have a couple others where it takes a little bit of time to get it all to line up properly to screw the bottom on.. This is an easy 5 Star turtle for our pool.

Just floating around.
Easy operation, auto chlorine dispenser is broken. Filled the dispenser up with tablets adjusted the release of amount . Just throw it in pool works great for the price.

Works only temporary then fills with water and sinks. Must drill hole to reduce pressure.
Works fine. Only issue was that it started collecting water inside and sinking. The key word here is 'reduced pressure difference' and that means if you drill a hole close to the top where you insert the chlorine tablets you will find that the floater doesn't fill with water anymore and won't sink. Maybe someone in the future will consider that and make them with a hole already in the top.

It has one job, and can't do it properly. Not recommended.
Sigh....I dislike leaving negative reviews, and yet here we are. This chlorine dispenser was not good. Why? Allow me to tell you.Firstly - it's collapsible. This means it collapses every bloody time you attempt to pick it up (yes I know it 'locks' into place, but it actually doesn't). Look, I understand this is for space saving when storing it, but it only saves a meager 3 inches of space...so if you're desperate to save 3 inches of storage space, that might be a clue that you're storing too much stuff. Plus, why are you storing it? Aren't you using it?Anyway....Secondly - it doesn't float properly. Mostly it floats on its side (I bought 2 of these and they both did it), especially when it's been refilled with chlorine tabs. If it's almost empty, it might float right side up.....but it's so rare that we consider it a special occasion, and we invite neighbors, friends, and family to join us in looking at it and going "ooh" and "aah" when it does.Thirdly - When it IS refilled with chlorine tabs, it sinks to the bottom of the pool. Yes, it sinks. It can't sustain the weight of more than 2, or maybe 3 tabs. We bought the large one BECAUSE we needed to put in several tabs. I mean, it's made bigger to accommodate more tabs, right? Yet it can't.Thankfully one of them cracked yesterday and that was the push I needed to replace both with a different, non-collapsible, one (which I just put in my pool and they're both floating right side up!)Oh, and when I went to throw these away, I discovered they were both half full of water that I can't get out as they're sealed (although clearly not if it's half full of water).A floating chlorine dispenser has one job, and this one doesn't do it very well i'm afraid. Not recommended.

Merkia Chlorine Dispenser Holder
Item is as advertised. I use 1" chlorine tablets with this dispenser for my hot tub. It always floats upright as long as you bleed out the trapped air inside the tablet compartment. All you have to do is just submerge it upside down until all bubbles dissipate. I have zero issues with the lid tightening or loosening so long as it is not cross threaded. The tablets dissolve evenly and can be controlled by adjusting the amount of water exposed to it.

GOOD PRODUCT
DOES EVERYTHING YOU BOUGHT IT FOR. THE TOP CAN SOMETIMES BE TOUGH TO OPEN, BUT NOT A BIG ISSUE.

good design, poor quality
Nice Idea, perfect size for hot tub. I use the same design in larger size for swimming pool and they work fine. This one is cheaply made. Water leaked into the top flotation part within a few days so it turns upside down in the water. I have to put a rock in the bottom of it to keep it floating upright. It is impossible to adjust for the dissolving of the chlorine tabs inside it to low level and all the tabs dissolve in a couple days. I recommend the design, but am looking for higher quality product.

Small Chlorine dispensing turtle
Absolutely adorable. Perfect for the foldable pool. Also bought 1 inch chlorine tablets to keep the water cleaner for longer.
