PREMIUM DARK 72% Cacao Chocolate SQUARES, 6 Bags

This is a staple in our household and has been for more than a year. We live about seven or eight miles from where it is made, and have always bought it from our local supermarkets. Lately however it has either been unavailable or at a very marked up price. So when I ran across on the Amazon site at a good (not outstanding, but good) price, I clicked it and saved a trip. The shipping boxes revealed an interesting note. Our package, manufactured locally in the Bay Area, came by way or New Jersey, routed to Memphis and to us in Oakland. No objections, product is fresher than what we had previously purchased locally and in perfect condition. I am curious about your well traveled chocolate, wondering how/why it went this route. Seems a bit much. Wonder what Jeff thinks?

This is some of the best tasting dark chocolate I have tried. I was looking for dark chocolate low in cadmium and lead, and this was on the list, so I ordered it. I like the fact that each square is separately wrapped, which help me to keep from eating more than one square at a time, which I could easily do. I keep it in the freezer which seems to keep it really fresh. Highly recommend.

72% dark chocolate, taste is fine

I love these dark chocolate candies. They really hit the spot after dinner. It is hard to find this flavor in the stores so I had to order from Amazon. The only problem with that is they melted a bit. I live in the desert and I got the package right away but they were still slightly melted and then I put them in the fridge and they reformed but just taste a bit off. But they are still good enough.

Excellent!

I have ordered this product previously, and the chocolate was Excellent. This shipment, the chocolate appears to have not been stored properly. There is a white coating, and the chocolate is brittle and hard in opposition to previous shipments.

Fresh and tasty. Rich color.

Flavor is great. Ordered plain dark squares .... received mint flavored squares. Superior quality as typical for manufacturer. Ordered repeat of previous plain chocolate squares. Quality product. Be more specific when ordering. Excellent product as usual.
