I bought the Dr.meter Ear Defenders for my five-year-old daughter, who has autism and can find the world overwhelming at times. Lunchtime in the school hall, in particular, can sound less like a pleasant eating environment and more like a warzone made entirely of trays, chairs, cutlery, and children discovering volume controls they were never meant to have.These ear defenders have been genuinely helpful. They reduce the intensity of loud, unpredictable sounds like crowds, hand dryers, alarms, and general school-hall chaos, without making her completely cut off from the world.She can still hear what she needs to hear, just without every noise arriving like it has brought its own marching band.They also help prevent overload by lowering the background noise that can build up and become stressful or painful. Instead of needing to cover her ears with her hands, she can wear these and keep her hands free for eating, playing, communicating, or holding whatever extremely important object a five-year-old has declared essential that day.The SNR 27.4dB rating gives a reassuring level of protection, especially in busy places like school, supermarkets, public transport, or anywhere people seem determined to make unnecessary amounts of noise near my child’s nervous system.They are comfortable, practical, and the pink headphones with the cute bunny design are a big hit with my daughter, which helps enormously because useful things are always better when they also pass the five-year-old style committee.Would I buy them again? Absolutely. Five stars for reducing overwhelm, protecting sensitive ears, freeing up her hands, and making school lunchtimes feel slightly less like dining inside a metal dustbin during an orchestra rehearsal. Very nice, I tested it out before giving it to my kids, they love it. I am very impressed with how much it cancelled.so far they are still going strong, so I would say they are fairly durable, fairly comfortable, fit quite well, and are reasonably lightweight. A+ in my book. 100% worth it if your child has audible sensory overload. I'm quite tempted to look for an adult version.

Lovely choice of colours, extendable head band to adjust for different size heads. Very easy for my little one to put on themselves. Great cushioning pads around the ears to really block out the noise.

Effective noise reduction for my autistic son. Good fit (aged 4) and lovely neutral khaki colour as opposed to most which are neon! A little tricky for my son to unfold them and put on his head independently but I’m sure he’ll grasp it!

Brilliant for a wedding guest with additional needs. Comfortable. Blocks sound out great. Value for money is fab. Fits well. Perfect child size. Durable and washable.

Kids love them, very comfy padding and great noise suppression. Great value for money, adjustable size - fits my 8yr old and 6yr old fine.

Great value for money , the only downside is they don't have much give to adjust to make bigger. They are a great size for around the ear , very good for large crowds
