Let me save you some time (and regret): don’t mess with knockoff Koosh balls. I made the mistake of trying a few off-brand versions, and let me tell you, they were thin, sticky, and downright wack. Those imposters couldn’t hold a candle to the original Koosh brand. The real deal? Koosh for life. These balls are everything you remember—perfectly squishy, sturdy, and just the right amount of bounce to keep kids (and adults, let’s be honest) entertained for hours. Whether it’s for an outdoor game, a beach day, or just chucking one across the room to a giggling toddler, Koosh balls deliver every time. Why Koosh is the GOAT: Durable: These balls can take a beating without falling apart. Unlike the flimsy knockoffs, they don’t lose their shape or texture after a few uses. Perfect Texture: Not sticky, not thin, just that classic Koosh feel that’s soft enough for kids but satisfying to squish. Versatile: Great for outdoor play, tossing around at the beach, or even stress-relieving fidgeting (yes, they’re as fun for adults as they are for kids). Knockoff Comparison: If you’re tempted by cheaper options, don’t do it. Those knockoffs are the dollar-store version of a luxury snack—they look similar but completely miss the mark. Thin strands, sticky texture, and they don’t hold up to any real play. Lesson learned: there’s no substitute for the original.

I loved these! The quality seems to be really good! Perfect for my son who is 3.5 yrs old who loves to throw stuff everywhere. I am only giving it 4 stars because I ordered 2 and was hoping to get 2 different colors. But they sent me the same colors.

The same Koosh I remember from back in the 90's! My kids think it's so cool and fun! Comes in a variety of colors, but you won't know which one you're receiving until you open the package!

Koosh balls are fantastic. They don't have the sticky, oily feel that a lot of similar things have, and they're a delight to catch and throw. There are no young people in our house, but my husband and I play catch with Koosh for healthy, fun computer breaks (bonus: light exercise!). So it seemed like a good idea to tack one onto our Amazon order. We've bought Koosh elsewhere and haven't had any significant smell, toxic or otherwise, but this one seems to have been stored in a barrel of laundry detergent. I suspect it's an Amazon issue because so many products they ship now have the same type of odor - but if there's recycled plastic in the Koosh, that could make some batches pretty foul. I haven't called the manufacturer (PlayMonster) to ask about it, but will do so if we get the same result from buying elsewhere. Anyway, we'll air this poor little Koosh out for a while, but I'm not optimistic. If we return it or donate it, I'm sure someone who likes living with this kind of smell will enjoy it. UPDATE: The Koosh is losing the fragrance after a couple of weeks of hanging indoors. Very happy about that. We wound up ordering a Koosh paddle set as well, so now starting the airing-out process with that ball...

MONDO KOOSH BALLS ARE THE BEST

Functionally these are great, but only 4 stars because of the strong latex smell and color fading. After a month the purple one shows obvious fading, perhaps from exposure to light, even though I have never used these outdoors. Maybe the yellow and green are fading too but it's not obvious compared to the darker color.
