Awesome Smoke Cube
This smoke tube is amazing, and yes I have used it. I say this because it bugs me whenever I read a review and its obvious that the person has not even used their newly bought product yet. People, we consumers count on these reviews to make an educated decision on what products we purchase. With that out of the way, again let me say, this smoke tube is amazing. I am an avid backyard smoker and am always trying new ways to do things or just to make them better. I wanted to cold smoke some salmon and the cold smoker attachment for my smoker was $199 so I thought I would try this. First of all it worked like a charm, I filled the tube up with pellets, lit the pellets on fire, let it burn for about 5 minutes, blew the flame out and it smoked for about 4 hours. I was able to put the smoke tube on one side of the smoker and put the salmon on the other side and I was able to cold smoke my salmon without having to buy an expensive addition to my smoker (the smoker itself was not on during this process, I only used the smoke tube). This worked so well that I decided to try it with meat to get some extra smoke while the smoke itself was on and again it works amazing. Whether you have an electric, propane, or real wood smoker this tube will add the extra smoke flavor that will put your food over the top. What makes this different from the numerous other choices out there is that it is square so it doesn't roll around on the grill, it has a large capacity so that you get a lot of hours of smoke from it, and the size of it gives you a lot of surface area so that you get a lot of smoke, lastly this is one of the best priced smoke tubes out there. I know that there are a lot of choices out there and it can be daunting trying to make a decision but I could not be more satisfied with the results of this smoke cube.

Lots of smoke
So far,it looks like me and 1 other person are the only ones to actually buy this.I like that there is a bottom on this one.The round tube one I was looking at had no bottom.I read reviews where people would stuff tinfoil in the bottom so the pellets wouldn't fall out when it was lit standing up.I have used this to smoke cheese and various meats. It does a great job.I use this in a pellet smoker.I have a quality pellet smoker.A Louisiana Grills CS450.It just doesn't give the intense smoke flavor that I like. With this cube,I fill it,light it,stick it in the grill and let it go until it's out(without firing up the grill). With meats,I then fully cook them with the pellet grill.I like the controllable heat.I've cold smoked some mozzarella sticks, mozzarella block and Swiss cheese block.I let the cheese cure for a week.It is awesome. You can easily produce excellent smoked foods with any type of grill and this smoker cube. You could even just build a box out of wood and use the smoker cube in it.Then just finish cooking whatever you smoked in the oven.I've had this for 10 days and have used it 8 out of the 10 days. There are no issues with it and looks like it should last a long time. Most pellets last about 3.5 to 4 hours per cube full.I've used Pacific Pellet Championship Blend, from Sportsman's Warehouse, the last 2 days. Not a bad pellet for the price.I get almost 6 hours per cube full with those pellets. You will build up quite a bit of creosote inside your grill when using this cube.I've cranked up the grill a couple of times(with no food in it) to burn off some of the creosote. This is a great product for anyone who wants to get into smoking foods at a reasonable price.

Double Your Smoke Output With This Tip....
I have an electric smoker that has a burned out electric element and a large offset smoker for the big jobs. My offset smoker's doors don't seal real well so when I use the larger wood chunks they simply flame up and burn quickly due to the oxygen let in at the door cracks. I checked on line for an element replacement for my electric smoker and read reviews saying that is a common problem with my model and the replacement may short out also.So what's a guy with two broke smokers do? Order the SmokinCube, that's what! Works great in both cookers. Here's a trick I came up with if you don't have a torch like me to light the pellets in your cube:Light two charcoal briquettes your normal way either with lighter fluid or newspaper and wait till they are all white on the outside. Stand your SmokinCube on end and drop one of the coals into the cube down to the bottom. Fill the cube with pellets on top of the coal to about 3" from being filled up to the top. Drop your other coal in on top of the pellets. Ball up some aluminum foil and cram it into the end of the cube on top of the coal to prevent it from rolling out when laying the cube flat. This also helps the coal stay pressed against the pellets to make sure they light.Wait for both ends to start smoking before closing the lid on your cooker. So now you have both ends of the tube smoking burning towards the center. DOUBLE SMOKE! YAY! I have been getting almost two hours of double smoke out of the unit before the pellets are used up.I usually am lighting charcoal anyway for either of my smokers to use as the heat source, so I just grab two of those coals for the SmokinCube. I stuck a stainless steel colander filled with a dozen coals in the bottom of my burned out electric smoker along with the SmokinCube and it works better than it ever did as an electric! This thing works great and is a good solution if you are having trouble with wood chips or chunks flaming out on you and not lasting long. Like I said above.......I get almost a full two hours of pretty heavy double smoke. Beats having to throw wood on every 15 minutes.
