Review: The real deal! - Truly an extraordinary supplement! I have very severe anxiety, and I have never had much luck with anything natural. From my experience, I get some numbing in the mouth and some drowsiness. It is probably best not to take too much or too often. There have been some cases of liver damage, but I would assume those people were taking huge amounts of it. This has been in use for 100s of years so I would say it is not dangerous. As for taste, well it tastes very bitter to me, but it is still drinkable.
