Good, cheap, and reliable.
I bought the biggest version of this bag and went hiking and camping in Yellowstone and was really impressed on how water resistant it was without using the water cover it comes with. If you are looking for a multi day hiking backpack I would go bigger unless you are under 5 foot 8 inches. It did pretty well for the size though and I could fit a small sleeping bag, rain coat, rain pants, 2 MRE's, First Aid, Headtorch, thermal bottoms, thermal sweater, knives, multi tool, meds, and many other camping things no problem. All in all it was a good pack and if you pack right you could use this for a multi day back country hike. It has plenty of straps to carry a tent on the outside and whatever else you need. It comes with a sleeping bag zipper bottom and it didn't hurt my back at all after hiking up a mountain. The waist padding zippers were kinda small but I could put my fire starter and multi tool and knives in there no problems. If you want to use this for survival it would be good for a low profile/ assault style of backpack (That's if you use the green one and the biggest size). The clips on it didn't seem fragile and the straps seemed sturdy. I could also fit my camel back hydration kit fully loaded with water in it with all the other stuff I mentioned. My military canteen fit on the side pockets really well and nice and tight. All in all it was a good bag and for the price it was good and even though I wished the biggest size available was bigger it did pretty well for me, a guy who is 5 foot 9 with broad shoulders. It's about the size of a Teton Scout and or a 3 day assault bag from the military.

Good for the price
I went on long backpacking trips with this very reasonably priced backpack and it worked fine. It does have a few issues, the main one being the waist belt. I am a size 30 waist and it felt small. It didn't do a great job of transferring the weight to my hips. And the pockets on the waist belt are useless (can't reach them). The good things are that this held up to pretty heavy use. I like the two compartments and it's nice that it expands to give you and extra 5L. The straps on the outside work well for extra gear. Overall I think it's a good buy if you want a backpack on the cheap.

This backpack worked great for my Panama trip
This backpack worked great for my Panama trip! It was the perfect size for a week long trip and used as my carry on. I didn't have to check anything in. I did use space saver bags for my clothes. My next trip I'd probably use zip lock bags instead to organize clothes by day rather than all together. But back to the bag, there were pockets galore! I love it! Plenty of straps to carry stuff on the outside. The shoulder straps could probably use a little more cushion for my liking but it wasn't awful. Comes with a rain cover as well which is really nice and convenient. The material was very sturdy, no rips or tears or even snugs. It still looks brand new. I'd definitely buy this bag again.

Narrow straps/frame
I purchased this pack for my husband in anticipation of a 2-week trip through Europe. We ended up returning this pack soley because the frame/straps were very narrow and did not fit his body type well; he is 6'3" and 250 lbs. The design of the pack looked OK, but he needed a better fit for our trip.

Does what it should for the price
So far the pack has held up well on my hikes. Longest was 12 miles, pack sits well and doesn't cause issues.Hip belt is a bit thin, pockets will be pretty much impossible to use while wearing pack, zippers are hard to work.I bought this to use as a cheaper "get in shape for next year" pack, and in that regard it works great. For the price it works well
