I'm happy with this product. I have had time to use this product several times to form opinions. It is good quality. I did notice there are the same thing with handles on the top to make it easier to lift in and out. I kind of wish these had that but I knew this when I bought them and I chose these for the price. They are good quality, nothing has broken or chipped. It can be hard to place it in the jar making sure all the food is underneath and not splashing the liquid for certain things and you have to dump the jar to get it out. So if you are willing to spend the money, the ones with handles on the top do make it easier, but if you're wanting to spend less, this is a great product that does work well. It performs how it is supposed to. I may try using a suction cup of some sort to put it in the jar, that might work. As I said these are great quality and perform how they should and are definitely worth the money.

Four big ol' glass disks, presented like they want to ask my hand in marriage. I wanted to throw the packaging away, but now I think I'll keep it and make a shrine to fermentation.Also, the weights themselves work great. They perform as intended (being heavy) and don't flip over or anything. Buy them as gifts for your pickle loving friends!

These glass weights are easy to clean and aren't too hard to remove from wide-mouth quart mason jars as long as the food is high enough in the jar. (I use a fork to tip the glass weight on it's side. If there's a better way, feel free to share the tip.) The weights have keep my kimchi and sauerkraut completely submerged, and I've been using them for about 21 jars now. I'm pleased with this purchase.

These make it easy to weight your veggies down when fermenting using mason jars. They are really easy to use.

These weights not only came packaged beautifully, but came quickly. I am currently using two of the four for sauerkraut and have been very happy with them. They are holding the cabbage under the brine beautifully, are letting the gas escape and aren't lifting like other things I have tried.

Good heavy weights for fementing. I have used them in a wide mouth jar. They work well although some food will get around the edge in a wide mouth jar since they have to be small enough to fit through the top of the jar.

This is a great product — the weights, which fit perfectly in a wide-mouth mason jar and keep your well-packed food in place and below the brine. I've got a batch of waialua pepper hot sauce going right now, and it looks great. So the product works well as advertised. What I did not expect was that it would arrive is such attractive packaging: this would really make a great, quirky gift for anyone.
