It will stain all of your clothes bright pink if you sweat even the tiniest amount off after applying HOWEVER I have used tons of self application fake tanners over the years and this color is the absolute BEST and most natural. It smells amazing, is relatively easy to apply with the glove included, and has been my go to for years. Probably only lasts maybe 2 showers at best but if you re apply and don’t wear white clothes you are good to go. Doesn’t fade in weird patches either. Beware the pink staining but other than that it’s perfect. Price for what you get is worth it.

I have been an avid tanner for years. I have tried every UV bed, spray tan, and tanning lotion on the market. I have olive skin when I'm tan, so I try to go for the natural brown and not orange look. UV beds were addictive until at age 26 I had to have a tumor removed from my skin. Seriously, if you use conventional UV tanning, I guarantee you'll care when you get tumors/cancer and your skin will seriously age by 30. I now have a scar on my chest, less than cute! Spare yourself the scarring if all you care about is looks. I had a membership for sunless tanning that seemed to be the only way to get a regular tan somewhat conveniently. At home tanners never got me as dark and were all streaky when applied. THIS TANNING SPRAY AND MIT SET IS AMAZING!! This stuff is sooo easy to use and gives me an instant dark tan with the bronzer, and develops to a very natural colored dark tan over a few hours, so that by the time you shower and rinse off the bronzer, you are tan underneath. This DOES NOT rub off on clothes and goes on so easily. I spray the mit about four or five times and rub it onto my skin. The fantastic thing about this spray is that you can add more or continue to blend it into skin and it doesn't get all dry and streaky like other sunless tanners. I've never had to leave streaks due to too many layers of tanner or too many attempts to blend it. The combination of the gloves and mit completely prevents my hands from staining. The mit makes application incredibly fast and smooth, streak free. This stuff dries amazingly fast (you can still add more to the dry parts to add more color or even out a streak) and doesn't get on clothes. Where I used to have to carefully apply lotion, wash my hands a million times, and stand around naked waiting to dry, now I quickly apply this and immediately go get dressed. My skin always looks tan now. It takes only about five minutes to apply over the whole body. There is literally no inconvenient aspect to this spray. It is as easy as drying your skin off with a towel, only you're applying tan. It lasts for about three days and then when it starts to fade it does so evenly and without patchy spots. You can even add contouring to your body (think extra cleavage and instant abs). I am so excited to find this product. I am canceling my spray tan membership, which will save my hundreds a year, I don't have to worry about skin damage AND I can easily look great every day. Amazing. Update: This is still my favorite tanner months after my original purchase, and after trying several others including mousses and sprays. I just ordered my second Fake Bake kit. My mitt wore out around the time that I ran out of tanner. It was still usable, but had little pills on it that caused streaking. I had also been using it with other tanning products, so if I had used it alone, it would have out-lasted the Fake Bake spray. So you get a new mitt every time you buy this product and the mitt lasts through the use of the entire 6 ounces. I washed it after every tan application with warm water and whatever hand soap I had on hand. I then let it air dry. I did cut the plastic pump bottle tube so that it was not longer than the bottle is tall. I will do that again with my new one. This product smells so good that I actually get complimented on what scent I'm wearing, as if I'm wearing perfume. It's a tropical coconut smell. The reason this is hands down my favorite tanner, even though I've found one that is darker (St. Moriz Dark Mousse), is that it is so easy to apply and dries so fast that as soon as I set down the bottle and wash the mitt, I can go get dressed. It always looks really even, not splotchy, even when I'm being lazy and apply it without much attention. Even my most hard-core tanning friends don't like tanning every day because their products are a hassle and they have to wait an hour to put on clothes. You could easily use this every day. Takes me 10 minutes tops and always looks better than being pale!

When reviewing a self-tan product, I believe it's extremely important to introduce certain characteristics of the author in order for readers to determine whether the product should apply to them. Before I begin, I am 21 years old and extremely fair. As a child, I was decidedly ginger/strawberry blonde, so my skin WILL NOT tan - not then, not now. I've tried a lot of sunless tanners throughout my middle school/high school/collegiate struggle to be tan (or at least a normal, non-ghost shade). This ranges from L'Oreals Sublime Bronze lotions/sprays, to Model Co. products, to Xen Tan, and lots of other brands. As of now, this Fake Bake Flawless is my favorite self-tan product I've ever used. I'd argue that, when used properly, this is the best sunless tanner. The color guard in combination with the mitt makes sure I get every single square inch of my body, no streaks. It dried in minutes, and I was able to dress quickly. The liquid develops into a wonderful brown (not orange!) color, and it was even and believable. HOWEVER... it must be used properly :) There are a few reviews on here that have complaints about this product that I'm going to address here (mostly noting why they're silly complaints). The first major complaint is "bottle leakage" - the spray bottle that comes with the product is too long for the bottle. The natural solution I came up with was cutting down the straw to make it short enough to fit in the bottle and prevent leaks. CUT THE STRAW before you use and your Fake Bake won't leak! The second major complaint is about the application mitt. Some people say it leaves fuzzy stuff on them, some people say it should have velour on both sides, and some people think it won't last until the tanning product runs out. All of these are wrong. If you've shaved and don't press too hard, your mitt should NOT be leaving fuzzes on you. You're supposed to lightly buff the product on. If the mitt had velour on both sides, there would be risk for rubbing extra tanning solution in random places, most notably on your body where it can leave a streak. One of my biggest tips in using this product is WASH the mitt of all leftover tanning solution after each use. This will keep it in MUCH better shape. To get the brown, amazing results that most reviewers gush about for this product... it's not hard. Here are some steps to follow. Step 1: Shave and exfoliate with a Baiden mitten or a similar Turkish bath mitt. If you don't know what it is, promptly go purchase it and use it and be amazed. UPDATE 4/28/2014: Dry brushing thoroughly prior to entering the shower is also adequate exfoliation. Step 2: Take some scissors and snip off a bit more than an inch of the spray bottle attachment that came with the product, and put the modified attachment onto the bottle. This WILL prevent all leaking. Step 3: Rub body cream (I use Bliss Lemon & Sage body butter, the BEST cream EVER) into your elbows, knees, ankles, and knuckles. Let it dry. Step 4: Apply sunless solution as per the directions, using the gloves and the mitt, spraying on the mitt and then LIGHTLY buffing the color all over (it's probably best to put a tiny dab of body lotion on your knees and elbows and ankles). Step 5: This is my personal step that really helps me as an extremely pale person get a beautiful, even, brown tan. Everyone hates the tell-tale splotching on hands/feet that give away the fact that you're wearing a store bought tan. I highly recommend that every pale someone purchase a product called Xen Tan Blending Balm. Once you're done applying the tanner all over, including hands and feet, take your blending balm and go over your elbows, ankles, knuckles, sides of feet/hands, and wrists. I usually don't need Blending Balm on my knees when I use body butter. This will prevent the tan from developing into too-dark territory. UPDATE 7/25/2014: Xen Tan Blending Balm is almost impossible to find these days, but its first ingredient is petrolatum. Use some Vaseline instead if you can't find the Blending Balm. I also recommend using Smith's rosebud salve or any Badger balm. OVERALL... The Fake Bake Flawless system is fantastic. It's well-priced and delivers beautiful results (even for gingers), and beats the inconvenience associated with going to the spray tan place. When the correct measures are taken, it looks great for a long time. If you're looking for a deep, dark tropical tan, you'll need to apply it a few nights in a row. My advice is BUY THIS NOW. And then order some Xen Tan Blending Balm and a Baiden mitten (both very important!) OR as per update 7/25/2014 you can also use a dry brush pre-shower instead of a bath mitt and Vaseline/Smith's rosebud salve/Badger balm instead of blending balm. UPDATE: September 27, 2012 After finishing a whole bottle of Fake Bake, I'm happy to report that the velour mitten is still in tact. I'm adding this edit to emphasize how important it is to wash your mitten between uses. Washing the mitten also prevents leftover solution from becoming reactivated and leaving darker splotches in random places during application. Seriously yall, WASH YOUR MITTEN. UPDATE: December 13, 2013 Something I never mentioned in this review which I should have... The color guard is GREAT. It's gorgeous and brown. But... It will streak when it rains, and wash off in the shower, and rub off on your sheets. Which, to me, is whatever. It's fine. But it's just good to know and plan around! For instance... I opted to use Jergens the night before Carolina Cup a couple years back because I knew it would be rainy and I didn't want everyone and their momma noting how streaky my tan seemed to get in the drizzle. Anyways, just wanted to give this little update. Happy tanning :) UPDATE: April 28, 2014 Years later, I'm still obsessed with this tanning product :) However, like many people in the comments note, the product doesn't last as long as other sunless tanners without maintenence. Personally, I've found that this is a wonderful option when you need a light tan the day before a big event, such as a wedding or a horse race or a tailgate, and you don't have much time to devote to getting it perfect and you don't want to smell like you've been tanning. Fake Bake Flawless is also an ideal option for people who have never applied their own sunless tanner before, as it is basically idiot-proof. UPDATE: July 25, 2014 A whole 3 years later, after 2 Fake Bake Flawless kits, I still have both velour mitts. I always use them when I tan. I don't always use the Flawless system anymore, as it doesn't develop dark enough to my liking. My top two tanning products are Tanwise mousse via Sally Beauty and St. Moriz self tanning spray in dark, which you can find at Ulta. Both always applied with gloves and mitt, after exfoliation, with the Xen Tan blending balm. Keep in mind that these are MY favorites, but I've been self tanning for more than a decade. If you've never had success with a self tan product, buy the Fake Bake Flawless. Because of so many comments about how this product doesn't last, I'm going to recommend another option that I really love. For those of you who want a longer lasting tan, with a more difficult application, I recommend Tanwise Lotion or Mousse. The lotion stays on FOREVER. Tanwise is not a product for the faint of heart - it goes on VERY dark and stains your skin in streaks unless you blend QUICKLY. The other issue with the Tanwise is the bronzers WILL stain your hands, and the only way to get it off is with baking soda. I went to Charleston recently and applied this the morning of a very long day of bar crawling, and my arms were still tan at work a whole week later. You can find Tanwise products here on Amazon or at a Sally Beauty supply near you - but remember, they are NOT easy to apply correctly. The Fake Bake Flawless is still my absolute favorite product for a quick, easy, pretty, coconut-scented tan. I like to apply the Tanwise mousse with the gloves and mitt from my Fake Bake kit and it always works perfectly.

I have to admit that this is the best self-tanning product that I've found on the market so far. It's even better than the spray tan provided in a spray booth at a tanning salon. I've used it now about 8 times and therefore, I feel I'm ready to provide my input on it's quality. I've used many self-tanning products which normally turn me orange, they wash off quickly, they stain my clothes and sheets, or they're not dark enough. Fake Bake doesn't have many flaws. It doesn't turn me orange, it lasts about 2 days longer than the other self tanners, it didn't stain my clothes or come off on my sheets, it dries immediately and has absolutely no sticky residue, and with one application, it's noticeably darker than other products. The smell is also about half of that in comparison to other products. You really only 'smell' the self-tanning component of it if you're out in the sun/humidity. The application took a few tries to get it right. You use a microfiber mitten to apply the product which results in an even, non-streaky tan. It has a natural olive toned tint to it upon application which helps you see where you put it. After you apply it, it does NOT feel as if you've put any product on your skin. It's literally just dry like you're fresh out of the shower. My troubles: During my first application, I exfoliated (a lot) in the shower. I used an abrasive body sponge, shaved, and washed my body like 3 times. After I was completely dried off, I applied the Fake Bake. It gave me an amazing olive-toned complexion that darkened over a few hours. It initially did look really good and very natural. However, when I showered, the color was reduced by at least half and there were unfortunately areas of my body (primarily my shins) that didn't hold the color well. Also, the color went from being olive-toned to more bronze which I didn't like. I am a fair skinned redhead and I have a lot of red undertones in my skin. So if the product doesn't retain an olive hue, it looks orange. I will admit it's not orange like other products, but still a little too unnatural for my complexion. My shins seem to never hold the color, even after heavy exfoliation and shaving which means I can't wear dresses or shorts while using a self-tanner. I'm determined to figure this out eventually. I also didn't carefully pick and choose the areas to lotion up prior to application. So, some areas of my skin were too dark and some looked awful, like my toes. This doesn't last as long as a spray tan does, but I'd say it will last about 3 days before needing another application. Another problem I've ran into is the fact that my face gets oily during the day which causes the color to be lost from my face almost on a daily basis. The product doesn't make my face oily, but exfoliating and drying out my skin causes my face to produce more sebaceous oils than normal. My suggestions: Exfoliate really, really good prior to your first application. When I say exfoliate, I mean make it hurt. If there's an area of your body that you know historically will not hold self-tanner well, do whatever you can to dry out that area. Some people have suggested using a salt scrub, though I haven't tried that yet. Do NOT apply this the day or night before something important. I suggest doing it when you have 2 days off from work and nothing to do. You'll probably use two applications before you reach your desired color. Carefully apply a thin layer of lotion to your knuckles, ankles, achilles, the underside of your wrist where it meets your palm, and your elbows. Basically any area of your body where you have heavy wrinkling of the skin. I've learned to not apply this lotion all over your fingers because you'll end up with tan arms and white hands. Taking 5 minutes to put it only on the knuckles means your hands will look evenly tanned. Do not get wet within about 6 hours of application. When you do shower, do not use a scrubby poof or anything like that to wash your body. This was hard for me to get used to, but literally only put the soap on your hands to wash your face and body (minus the necessary areas). This'll prevent pre-mature or uneven fading of the product and it'll help it last longer. Make sure to use lotion to help extend the tan. Overall, I believe I'll keep using this product. Even though the color isn't exactly what I need, it is the best product I've found so far and the most natural looking product. There are other types of Fake Bake on the market and I plan to play around with some of those colors to see if I can find something more suitable. If you're looking for a light, golden tan - this product will probably satisfy you. Cons: Fades within about 3 days Color goes from olive toned to light bronze after washing the product off Pros: Doesn't transfer/stain clothing or sheets Doesn't have a strong self-tanner smell Looks amazing as it's curing (before washing it off) Allows for a streak-free application Looks more natural than most self-tanners Lasts slightly longer than other self-tanners

I've used this for 4 years now. Never have had a streak my tan always looks natural and everyone wonders how I keep up my flawless color. I only do one single application because I'm so naturally pale I tend to look sick. This product gives me a healthy glow. Obviously you can keep applying layers until you're as dark as you want to be. In response to basically every negative review: ANY self tanner will sweat off after application, FakeBake is just smart enough to inform you that you should apply it at night so that doesn't happen to you. For anyone afraid to buy this product due to a negative review, please don't be. I have used it and then went swimming the next day and the worst that happened was the color faded from my body, and I reapplied it that night. It lasts a long time and I can honestly say it has never EVER EVER turned me orange. In fact, they don't even use yellows and oranges in this product. They use reds and browns. So unless you apply 3 or 4 applications on top of each other which I'm assuming this reviewer may have done, it will NOT turn you orange. It wouldn't be the best selling tanning product on Amazon if it did. BUY BUY BUY! Awesome especially in winter. I wear it in the summer too. Water resistant but obviously not waterproof, stays on through sweat and at the pool. Would I apply this product and then go to the water park or amusement park? NO! Sweat causes any self tanner to dissipate. Be smart with what will cause sweat WITH FRICTION. Friction? That's okay. Sweat? You're tan won't run. Sweat WITH friction? Just DON'T!! If you're drying off from anything, pat your akin don't rub. I went to the ocean with this stuff on and nothing came off all day in the heat and sand. When applying it I usually spray it on my skin THEN rub. Unless I am doing my face then I spray the mitt and rub. You cAn use this product over and over until you are as dark as you want to be. Shave FIRST 24 hours in advance of application. Because if you shave and them immediately apply the product, it will seep into your pores leaving you tiny dark specs. Also let your body COMPLETELY DRY hair and all before you apply. It's even smart to blow dry your body with COOL AIR before application even if you haven't just gotten out of the shower. I wait hours after my shower just to be sure. If you don't you will regret it because your tan will NOT be even; mark my words. If you wait until you're dry though everything will be perfect. Don't wear white until you've rinsed off after 24 hours of having it on ! Rinsing off won't get rid of your tan unless you scrub and even then it probably won't come off. If you leave it on for 48 hours you can scrub and your tan will not be affected which is why I love this product. Definitely worth the buy. Be careful around your arms if you're like me and tend to have tanner arms on the top of your forearm and paler skin on the bottom part of your arm/the inside crease of your elbow. I have my roommate do my back and the back of my shoulders and legs just to make sure it's perfect :) Make sure you apply it more generously to paler areas (the bottom of my forearms are super pale so I do them twice). If you're reading these reviews to try to find out if you should buy it-buy it. Totally worth it. Like I said, it wouldn't be the best selling tanning product on Amazon if it wasn't awesome.

I am so incredibly fair that when I roll up my pants in the sunlight, I pull a 'Twilight'. (My stomach just blinds people.) I have been using different tanning products for years, everything from L'Oreal Sublime Bronze (which I was vaguely favorable to), MysticTan, VersaSpa (good in a crunch, but not at the eleventh hour), and Jergens Natural Glow. I came across this product when searching for options knowing I have a wedding to attend. I am extremely tired of being ORANGE. Especially in the traditional places where the lotions sink in too much and create the ever lovely bread-crust effect on the edges of the palms, between the fingers, nail beds, and don't even get me started on the feet! Or streaks for that matter! (UGH!) Enter my discovery of Fake Bake Flawless. I was a bit gun-shy, seeing as there were a few reviews moaning and groaning about trouble with the mitt and trouble with leaking from the bottle... but after reading one absolutely AMAZING review (Shout out to Glynis Ewing!!) I decided to He** with it... I'm buying it! Worst that can happen is another orange week right? Well! I am here to say, that is SO NOT THE CASE!! I FEEL PRETTY!! OH SO PRETTY! hahaha No really though... Glynis is dead on when she recommends that you trim the tube, I measured it by sight looking at how much would need to come off just to screw the cap down tightly. You will know what we mean when you see it. WEAR YOUR GLOVES!! Don't risk having too much on your hands because this is a fast drying product (and trust me, that's a good thing!!) Clean your mitt! I do it every time, and it's been used three times now to equal success each time! Go slowly!! I tend to get a bit antsy and go too fast over my thighs, but that's how you can miss a spot... luckily, touch-ups are not hard with this formula! Start with your feet, do both at the same time. Work your way up from your ankles to your knees, make sure you are working the whole way around your calves and then thighs. I say this because my first time I didn't do this as a total airhead and went up one leg, and then found myself leaning against the leg I had just done to do the other. Which was awkward. I did work around that, but still... not the brightest moment. Also, for ladies with busts that are larger... make sure when you do your chest area, you are careful to have a fan at the ready so that you can dry the area rather quickly. If you let them sit and sweat, you might get lines. After you take off your gloves... WASH THE MITT FIRST! Why you may ask? Because you don't want to wash off all the tanning lotion that you put on your hands, and then try and clean the glove. I did that one too. Very frustrating. As Glynis mentioned, using the blending balm is a must! I thought buying a second product sucked but I was not exceptionally in to the whole idea of lines or splotches. And it was worth it! The balm is like a wax, and you apply it after the tanner to blend the color, or before it to block it completely. Update 6/15/2013: I've been using the Fake Bake Flawless intermittently for some time now and am still very pleased with it! A few things that I have noticed that are worth mentioning... * When washing your mitt: I use a gentle shampoo to wash it out, and truly scrub it. I have been using a paraben-free shampoo that I didn't like for my hair and it has been great for truly rinsing out all of the tanner and letting the mitt return to original status. If you don't get it all out, when you use it again it will leave little dark brown specs that are coming off the mitt. * I spray the the Fake Bake on the back of my hands, one or two spritzes on each hand, and then put a deep moisturizer on with it and rub it all in together. That along with the blending balm on my knuckles and side of my palms is really affective for getting the color to my hands without leaving odd markings or shading. * I have the "Fair" version of this product too, and it's a lotion. Have to admit... it's really not that great. It's not as potent as the Flawless, and the Fair is harder to have saturate the skin. It takes time let it set... and it's easier to scrape part of the color off on something by accident. * Invest in a good wand that can be used to reach your back if you aren't yoga flexible. Mine has a pumice-like stone that is non-porous that I got at walmart... It's specifically marketed for tanning but I loathe it honestly so I plan to replace it with one from Amazon. However, it's useful for reaching the areas that are hard to reach by hand alone. Still 5 stars!! Love this product!!

When I purchased this product, I thought that I had researched it fairly well; I'm an experienced self-tanner, who's used most, if not all, of the drug store options available, and I got tired of dealing with the nasty smell and orange tint to my fair skin. I am also a former lifeguard, plus I was a tanning bed addict for years, but I've quit since being diagnosed with melanoma ten years ago (yep, that's the bad one, kids! And I was only 30. Keep using the fake stuff!). What I found after trying Fake Bake is that I'm still a bit ambivalent and just a little confused. I had never used a tanner with a guide before; at least, not dark like this! I knew what to expect, of course. But what I expected isn't what happened. What happened was that my skin turned an unsightly camo-green! I Googled frantically. I found that this was normal, and I gave the bottle a really good shaking, tried again, and ahhh...Beautiful, bronze color! So, my color looked great, and I was pleased to find that I didn't seem to notice any "masking" scents, plus it wasn't too sticky, and it dried quickly. I was able to dress right after applying, where usually, I sit around in a tank top and shorts for half an hour, waiting for the stuff to dry. I left the bathroom feeling like a million bucks! Then, I took a shower the next morning. Wha, wha, wha! It. All. Washed. Off. I'm not talking just the guide, here. I'm talking all of it except a trace. It had been at least twelve hours. And I didn't even scrub. Back to Google. I got mixed results this time, even from the questions on this product review page. Some people claim that just the guide washes off and you're left with a beautiful tan for five days. Others say it washes off right away, and you have to keep re-applying. I find that I am in this latter category. It's kind of annoying. Okay, it's really annoying! It is buildable, but the surface layer begins to get patchy within a couple of days for me. If I don't scrub the ever-loving crap out of my skin when tanner starts to get patchy, it looks like you could cut it up and hang it for a birthday party (sorry, that was gross, lol). Final verdict: still out, so I'm giving three stars, but I may change it later if I can learn to tweak this stuff a bit more. For now, I love the color it gives me and the fact that there is NO GROSS SMELL, so I'll keep using it unless the upkeep just becomes too much of a hassle. I guess I'll just have to make disposable dishwashing gloves my new statement piece! Pros: - Beautiful Brown Tan - NO bad smell! - Easy application with guide color - Comes with mitt - Dries quickly - Minimal stickiness - Buildable - Fair Price Cons: - Washes off a lot! - Even after first shower you will streak if you get wet! - High Maintenance - Could get expensive due to high maintenance. - May turn you green until you shower the first time. - May need to stay away from pools, lakes, bodies of water in general. - Avoid water! - No feeding after midnight!

Let's face it, we all feel better and look better with a little color to our skin! I think I've tried every sunless tanner on the shelves through the years. I'm a firm believer in skin protection while still having a nice sunkissed glow so I'm not one to use tanning beds or go out into the sun without sunscreen on. I also have a few tattoos that I care to keep looking nice, especially because I've invested so much money into them. I've bought everything from cheap lotion to expensive gels and even used aerosol spray tanners and gotten Mystic Tans. I was looking for an alternative to the sticky feeling of a lotion/gel and something that *hopefully* wouldn't have that stinky sunless tanner smell that instantly screams "I USE SUNLESS TANNER" to everyone standing within a "sniffing" distance from you. I read numerous reviews for different products and decided that Fake Bake Flawless was worth trying. I read reviews that said the bottle leaked when using the spray pump and it was suggested to cut the pump tube down a little bit so it fits into the bottle. I did this as soon as I received the product and the bottle didn't leak at all during my first application last night. After exfoliating in the shower really well (use a shower gel that has beads or granules in it to help remove dead skin) and shaving, I got out of the shower and dried off. I then put a light coat of lotion on my knees, ankles, tops and sides of both feet, wrists (inner and outer), elbows (inner and outer) and around my armpits. I've had problems in the past with sunless tanner streaking or looking muddy in those areas. After the lotion soaked in I put on the latex gloves that come with the kit, then put on the microfiber mit. The directions say to spray the mitt with the sunless tanner and then apply but I found that the mit absorbs a lot of it before it reaches your skin, so it's easiest to spray it directly onto your skin instead and then rub it in from there. BE SURE TO LAY A TOWEL DOWN WHERE YOU WILL BE DOING THE SUNLESS TANNING. No matter how close to your skin you get with the bottle, some mist will get onto the floor or rug and if you don't wipe it up quick enough, it might leave a slight stain. I did this in my bathroom and just put an old bath towel down on the floor. I started with my legs and sprayed a few sprays up and down the front, back, and sides of my legs. With the microfiber mit I worked the liquid into my skin by using a circular motion and sparingly spreading it down over to the tops and sides of my feet. I used a patting/dabbing technique to apply a small amount of liquid to my hands and feet and it seemed to work great. I then did my torso, rear end, back, chest, and then finished with my shoulders/shoulder blades, neck (blending it up to under my chin), and arms (front and back). I chose not to use it on my face since I have a lotion-based sunless tanner designed specifically for faces that I use. The mit is very soft and easy to use, but beware--I had some fuzzies come off and get onto my skin. I think this is just because it's the first time I used it. As a side note: make sure to wash your mit out with warm water and soap after you use it. I threw mine in the dryer on high heat for about 10 minutes and it came out clean and fuzz-free. The liquid rubs on smoothly and due to its chocolate color, you can tell exactly where you've already applied it. It has a great coconut smell and dries quickly so you're not standing around waiting for it to soak in and feeling sticky. I put my pajamas on shortly after applying Fake Bake and my skin felt soft and had instant color. I went to bed and slept comfortably throughout the night and in the morning there were no stains on my sheets. My skin looks fabulous and I have a Bahamas-esque tan that isn't orange or fake looking in the least! No streaking, blotching, or uneven areas to be found. The best part? NO SUNLESS TANNER SMELL! It never once smelled like the typical sunless tanners (I liken it to rotten fruit), instead the pleasant coconut smell went away throughout the night and I was left with a great tan and no smell whatsoever. I highly recommend this product. It's easy to use (only took me about 8 minutes total to apply) and the results are like nothing I've ever gotten before from other sunless tanners. If you're hesitant about trying a non-lotion tanner like I was, this is well worth the chance. I couldn't be happier and plan on using it much more in the future, especially as the weather gets warmer :)
