Great low cost cables if you need a longer run and flexibility
These are probably the cheapest cables I've bought in a long time. That is not meant to be showing off but just to give you an idea how far down the rabbit hole I am in the audiophile hobby. That being said, I just needed a longer cable run for my rear speakers in my home theater room and these seemed to fil the bill. Buying longer runs of really high-end cables is rather cost prohibitive and let's be honest, rather wasted on a set of rear speakers in a 7.1 setup. The gauge seems accurate and despite that, the cables are rather flexible and not to stiff. That makes them great to work with and get into place. The 25ft length worked out very well and was exactly what I needed. As others have said, the cover for the banana plugs needs a little bit of tightening when you take them out of the bag but that's literally 2 seconds of twisting them to make sure they're tight.Other than that, the material seems to be decent quality and will work nicely for me for the rear speakers. They are color-coded in black and grey, making it easier to tell them apart and connect them with the correct polarity.I would not use them for my front speakers for critical stereo (music) listening but then again, I have been spoiled by cables easily costing 10x as much. For less critical applications where you also need longer cables, these are great though.

A Truly Simple, but Effective, Method of Improving Your System's Sound
No, it's not hype. The minute I exchanged my existing wires (which were not in themselves inexpensive), my system immediately sounded better. I was really quite surprised. In fact, QUITE surprised. The only reason I had gone with these new Silverback cables is that I needed new banana plugs on my existing wires, and trying to sort out what fit best, what had the highest quality, etc, I just reasoned that, for nearly the same amount of money, I could just purchase these new cables pre-fitted. So, I honestly wasn't expecting any real difference, but when I turned my system back on (I'm using a Yamaha VX-3000 with a set of four NHT SB3 speakers), I was jolted with amazement. The richness and clarity was significantly different, and then my next response was, Why didn't I do this YEARS ago?At any rate, these really do sound fantastic. They are very heavy, very high quality. They come wrapped in a curl that will probably take a day or two to fully straighten out. The come wrapped in a sealed plastic bag with twist ties to hold the cables in place during shipping. The end plugs are the very highly rated Sewell plugs which are silver in color, with red and black markers for polarity. I believe the silver coating is non-conductive in nature so you should not have to worry about shorts if the cables touch (which they should not, anyway).I highly recommend these cables. Make sure you measure what length you need before you order: it is very easy to under or overestimate cable length needs, and you can either end up with cables to short too use or spend too much on cable lengths you don't need. This is an easy five star recommendation.

Good Quality Wire + Bananas, Reasonable Price
I have a 25 foot run between the preamp and speakers/subwoofer and so to be on the safe side, I went shopping for 12 ga. wire. My order of two Sewell "Silverback" 25 foot wires + banana plugs was delivered quickly and I'm quite happy with the quality. The wire is thickly-insulated but fairly supple. Each wire is color-coded as are the banana plugs. Careful measurement of both wires showed them to be true to the 25 foot length and within an inch of one another. Banana plugs were firmly screwed to the wires. For those who question whether it makes sense to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on speaker wire, these should be a reasonable solution.

Sounds better than my Monster XP speaker cables
I bought these cables to connect my Rotel RA-1062 Amp to a pair of Elac FS77 floor standing loudspeakers. Music source is a Cambridge Audio Azur 540C V2 CD Player connected via Audioquest G-Snake interconnects to the Amp.These Silverback cables replaced a pair of Monster XP compact clear speaker cables. After the initial break-in period of playing for a few days, I could not notice much difference in the high frequency response, but noticed a significant improvement in the lower frequencies. The music sounded more authoritative in the lower bass and mid bass regions -- without any loss of resolution in upper mid and high frequencies.Overall the presentation sounded better; there was no muddiness and the soundstage remained intact. I would recommend these over Monster XP cables. The Monsters (XP) were better than a pair of Philips 14AWG speaker cables I tried sometime ago -- which were thicker than the Monsters but sounded muddy -- so I wasn't sure what to expect with these Silverbacks. But these do sound better to my ears than the Monsters -- by a good margin.

Love these cables for my speakers. 12 gauge is heavy duty at a good price.
