Rain BirdPESB Inline Valve with Scrubber and Flow Control 1 in. FPT | 100-PESB

I use this valve for other than its intended use. I use it to control the water supply for my geothermal home heating/cooling system. It works well. It is quiet to open and close with the soft close feature. No banging of supply lines. The self scrubber is a nice feature to keep it working.The ONLY major complaint I have is the threads for the inlet and outlet. I don't know if it is because of the fiber glass filled plastic or just a bad job of cutting the threads, but the threads are NOT smooth. This makes it difficult to seal the threads from leaking. I used teflon tape and had to retire three times before getting it to seal. I did not have this issue with other model like valves.The price of this valve seems to be a little more than it sould be in my opinion, but than again I bought it.Hope this helps in your selection. One more little thing, the Amazon supplier takes a while to ship this than if direct from Amazon.Update March 2, 2012This product is working great, no issues. I would purchase again... I changed from the 4 to 5 stars!Update June 2023Well, it started slowing on its close time, after power was removed. It got to the point it would lag 10 to 30 seconds before fully closing, after power was removed. I ended up replacing it with a new valve. Here's hoping this will be my last needed. All in all, I am happy with this valve.

These valves are amazing. Our lawn irrigation comes from a local canal. Even with a filter installed the standard valves would build up silt on the diaphragm and sprinklers would not shut off. Problem solved with these. A lot more expensive but worth it.

It is just fine.... did the job for us!
