Perfect fit for "next gen" 2017 Jeep Compass
After having sent back one set and gone through numerous websites to try to find a set of roof cross bars for my new body style 2017 Jeep Compass, I was skeptical but needed the cross bars for an upcoming trip so gave it another try.First, these fit IF you put the end caps on correctly - instructions are a bit iffy but there are 2 end caps for the front and 2 for the back. There are also arrows that point toward the front - which can be confusing if you are looking to the arrows v. the words. Once I got past that nuance, finding the right set of bolt holes for the rear set is the next challenge...at least for my Jeep, I had to use the forward set of the rear bolt holes.Second, installation is SUPER easy. I checked the bolts a few times over the week following the install and found no changes from the install. Also, there was no significant road noise - even at 70-75 mph. Finally, coupled with a roof bag, my jeep can accommodate 5 people and their luggage!

Pretty Good
The racks were fairly easy to install. When I read the reviews I made a note of the possible issue regarding alignment. True enough, one of the screw holes just doesn't line up (see pic). I don't have the tools to do what one customer did to drill a matching hole, so I just flipped the rear rack and then the holes match. One thing I didn't really like is how the outside of the bases, the plastic part that comes down to the roof, can make actual contact with the roof (see pic). This should rest just above without making contact so it doesn't scratch up the paint job. I'll be sanding these down just a bit. As far as sound goes, it does create a little bit of sound that is mostly noticeable going above 40mph. I would describe it as something between hearing brand new tires with vent spews and having the windows slightly opened. Also to be noted, there is a definite increase in loudness with higher temperatures. I was driving at night at 60mph and temp around 75f with the sound emitted being fairly low. Then I drove at same speed, but at 90f temp and it was noticeably louder, even with more ambient being present from other cars. Overall though, the sound just fades into the background and is easy to ignore.

Pretty good
Easy install. Held a bike on a rack and 2 large kayaks in a rack on a very windy 70 mph highway for several hours.

Fits my 2019 Jeep Compass TrailHawk
Super easy to install. I just popped out the screw hole covers on my side rails and lined up the cross bars. The holes lined up correctly it’s a Perfect fit. I will say I had a little trouble screwing in the screws, The Allen wrench is a pain in the ass. It’s the worst possible tool to use for this. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and would absolutely buy this again for another vehicle.

Works great
It was real easy to install. All I had to do was to pull out the little plugs in the side rails and you thread the bolts right into the side rails that comes with the cross racks

Jeep Compass Crossbars
The media could not be loaded. Ok let’s start off saying I have a 2016 Jeep Compass High altitude. I have been hunting and searching for a set of cross bars since I’ve gotten it. Finally found these and they are exactly what I wanted. You have basic knowledge of how installation works and have the patience to do it they aren’t hard at all especially since they don’t have instructions. I had to shave one bracket of some plastic in order to line up bolt correctly but no big dealIf you are having trouble figuring it out here is a the PowerPoint version.1) Remove small tabs in roof rail2) line up brackets and make sure they face the right direction3) begin threading and fastening the brackets to the vehicle4) once on adjust crossbars to even distance between both brackets5) Begin your adventures

Cross bars for a decent price
The product was fairly simple to install and didn't take very long. I had some issues with them lining up without angling the bolts and the mounts didn't seem to be as flush as they should have been maybe some defects in the plastic molds etc. They held 2 10' kayaks with our J hooks installed and seemed to be pretty sturdy. I do have some concerns as they shake and move pretty easy even with them being tightened down as much as i'm willing to go due to it being plastic. Instructions are very easy to follow and one of the securing mounts come pre-installed on each one of the cross bars so you only have to install the other side and mount them to the existing rail system on the vehicle. I would caution you that i had to undo both sides to properly align them and adjust the length of the bars to fit. One bar is longer than the other and that is the front cross bar they are clearly indicated and have arrows pointing in which direct to install them so that was a plus. Overall just wish the construction was a little bit more rigid and maybe not made out of plastic and they fit to the rail system a little better. We used them once and only time will tell how they hold up, maybe down the road i can change my review after i've used them serveral times. Over a decent alternative to the $200-300 price point products out which seem to be very hard to find.
