We live in a duplex house. Definitely our neighbor hears it when my son plays. But never a complaint from them. He can adjust the volume when I start to get tired from it. Enjoy!

Is this is this okay for practicing metal or rock and just stuff like that

I think it sounds great. Once it's tuned in, it's great. Amp is small, but surprisingly the sound is bigger then the size.
