how do these compare vs. skins compression tights with comfort and durability?

I had a pair of skins compression tight I returned them no comparison. CW-X are by far the best out there..

The answer is going to depend on how big your legs are, and what size you chose to try and squeeze into … if you have skinny legs, even a small will not give you much compression. If you have robust, meaty, muscular legs, even a XL might be to tight for you to get in. I am assuming from your question you have been looking at compression socks. While these tights do have some compression, it doesn’t feel anything like as tight as my compression socks.

Are these year round tights? I don't need cold thermal tights, rather I want something I can use from cool weather up to the 70's.

I used this while I was training for a 10k trail run...in Hawaii. Weather was a nice warm low to mid 70s in September. I was comfortable in them and never had any issues. And this was the first time I actually wore full length tights for running.
