Why I chose this seat and why I am happy that I did.
Let me preface this with I'm an engineer and tend to obsess a bit about car seats. Particularly, safety. While I don't work in the car seat industry, my understanding of physics and manufacturing makes me a bit less likely to blindly trust anything on the market (despite it being legal for sale).I knew I wanted a rotating seat for my baby but I did approach it with caution (more moving parts = more things that can go wrong). This is my 2nd child and my experience with my first was that buckling a squirming toddler in a car is a full contact sport!! I figured a rotating seat would help me to buckle baby in properly every time without breaking my back.I researched crash ratings and quality concerns with all of the competition. I used baby lab data and read reviews from every seat. Although this seat only rotates in the rear face mode, others like evenflo (thst rotate both ways) seem to have some complaints of detaching during an accident (very limited info though). For me, a higher quality seat is a must. You generally get what you pay for! This seat certainly is evidence of that. It is just well designed and well made. My baby is extremely comfortable and I feel great about her sitting in it for long trips.Per crash ratings, this seat scores VERY well. I should note, it does NOT have a rebound bar, but I think in this case it's not needed because crash ratings exceed seats that do. Also, this seat is very easy to install. Having had 2 kids, I've installed many car seats and this one is really smooth. If you do it properly, it will be very rock solid tight and secure. Since the belt path attachment sits kind of high, I just don't see how it could "rebound" if the install is done well. The way it is designed, I think any rotational crash forces will be counteracted easily by the steel frame and the base sitting proud against the car seat back.Other things I love about this seat are the high quality materials and high rear face weight limit. My daughter will probably be 5 by the time I forward face. By that point, I don't think we will need a rotating feature on a seat.I give this seat 5/5 stars, but I do want to point out a few things that I think could be better:1. Tightening the straps is pretty tricky. I wish it was smoother.2. This will be common in most higher end seats, but if you have long legs, you might get some interference with the seat back and car seat. The seat is tall and when reclined it might be a problem. It just barely makes it in my Linclon Aviator (captians chair)3. I really wish you could pin the straps to the sides when the seat is not in use. Its kind of annoying to fish them oht every time and even most cheap seats have magnets or clips to keep them ready for buckling baby in.Overall, I would 100% recommend this seat and we will be buying a second for our other car. Quality is worth the price!

The Greatest Car Seat Ever
This car seat is the GOAT (so much so that we have four of them now). We have the Pike grey color and the seats look great for everything our boys have put them through. The appearance and functionality are luxurious, which genuinely makes the price worth it for both parents and kids. The car seat is incredibly sturdy, yet that doesn’t make it too heavy or difficult to install or even difficult to rotate. You’ll feel incredibly comfortable with how stable the car seats are whether you use the seat belt or LATCH anchors. The rotation is so simple in that you grab the bottom center lever and turn towards you.

I LOVE this carseat (and so does my 16mo old)
we brought my daughter home from the hospital in a Britax carseal and loved it. Once she was about 8 months we switched to the Graco Extend to Fit. Ever since then, car rides have been horrible. My daughter fights getting in the car and will cry the entire ride unless someone is in the seat with her to comfort. We've always wondered if it was the carseat or if it was car rides that she hates, but couldn't stomach buying yet another carseat to test it out. When I saw this carseat go on major sale for Prime Day, I couldn't resist. Turns out, my daughter now LOVES car rides. She was visibly more comfortable once in this baby jogger seat. She now claps her hands and squeals when I tell her we're going in "your new carseat." Wish I would've bit the bullet and bought sooner! The differences in quality are endless when compared to the Graco. The material is softer, more plush. Obviously the turn feature is a HUGE bonus, but I would be 100% pleased even if that wasn't available.Once again I've learned that when it comes to baby gear, sometimes the more expensive IS better. We're life-long baby jogger fans now!

Love the rotation
I moved my baby from the Chicco KeyFit 30 to this car seat around 14 months. I really wanted a safe car seat that rotated & this was the only one on consumer reports list that met my criteria of: best crash protection, 50lb rear-facing, rotates. I’ve had it for about a month and love it so far. We have it in a RAV4 and while my 6’1” husband would like to recline the passenger side a bit more, it’s still comfortable. It’s heavy so it’s not something you’re going to want to move around often. I was pretty confused on how to get it installed but when I finally figured out how to do it correctly it’s not hard.If you compare specs on this via the Graco extend to fit & other similar, this baby jogger is surprisingly slim.Update April 2024: still loving this. Wish we would have spent the extra money & got this for my husband’s car too. Once you have rotation, it sucks using a car seat without it! Also, we got it on sale for about $400 so keep your eyes open for deals.

Easy to use
My wife really likes this seat because it doesn't squeeze our baby's head and is easy to use. It fits great rear-facing in our sedan.

Great Car Seat!
I’m not sure why this car seat is flagged as frequently returned because that is not my experience. We purchased this car seat well over a year ago and love it. It’s is very comfortable and roomy for our son. He is now 2 years old and fits so great in it. The rotation feature always works well and has been so convenient, especially now that I’m pregnant again and don’t have to climb in the car to get him in and out. The only downside is probably the size/heaviness, as it is a larger/bulkier car seat. Besides moving it from our car to my husbands, the size has never been a concern for us. We even took it on an airplane and had no issue traveling with it. I choose this car seat initially because it looked comfortable for our son and the rotation was convenient for all of us. It has not disappointed us.

IN LOVE!!!
I was debating for SO LONG if I wanted to get this, the Chicco Fit 360 or the Evenflo 360 but after tons and tons of research, I finally pulled the trigger and got this one and HOLY MOLY we love it!! The rotation is so smooth, the seat is COMFY - my 14mo old son loves it! Yes it only rotates when in rear facing but my kiddo will be old enough and capable enough to get into the seat by himself by the time he forward faces. Keep in mind there’s no pockets or anywhere for the seatbelt clips to tuck into on the sides when not in use, but they can drape over each side pretty well as long as you have loosened the straps enough when you take kiddo out. Installation was super easy, just read through the directions first. But seriously y’all this is a game changer since my kiddo was getting HEAVY. If you’re comparing over and over, just get this one!

Over-priced but the only one of its kind
The chair fabric feels great, very smooth, light, feels almost like merino wool. As well, the position of the chair when rotated is high and well positioned, definitely making it easier to take your baby out or put baby in. Some complain about having to rotate chair back as a result, but the benefits of the position warrant a little care with rotating back. Plus, when I rotate back after taking baby out, I only rotate enough to close the door, not to relock at center, so when I open door to put baby back, I can just grab chair anywhere to rotate to position to put baby back in. So it's pretty easy. The rotation is smooth and secure, and the chair doesn't have much slack in center locked position. Chair was also very easy to install, since its high protruding base makes it easy to properly tension either the seat belt or anchor belts tightly. What we didn't like were the cheap light plastic of the middle buckle, the light duty groin buckle, and the impossibility of fixing the fabric tab covering the groin buckle in place. Also it's impossible to keep the belt off to the sides when trying to insert baby, so you will always be pulling and looking for the belt behind baby. Last, lack of swivel adjustment unless you remove the seat. Though it has 3 angles, only 1 was usable for 15 month baby. The others would give baby zero leg room. So all in all, as a car seat, the lackluster hardware for the price is unfortunate. (Our Uppababy Mesa and a Cybex Sirona S both had superior buckles, groin buckle fabric tab, and a way to hold the belt open when placing/removing baby.) However, the ease of secure install and the way the seat rotates out makes the seat truly more convenient to use as I can stand erect outside the door to put baby in and out. (The Cybex Sirona S, for comparison with similar rotating seats, still require you to bow your head to fit inside car to seat/unseat baby.) If the hardware were as well designed and built as similarly priced car seats, and it would be so simple to do so, this City Turn would be the top top pick. It's compact, light weight, easy to install, easy to rotate, actually convenient to use. We just wished it had the hardware as the Sirona S. (But no forget the Sirona, that's a disaster in design, not worth your time even trying it.)
