All components are latex free. **Q: Does this help with lateral stability?** A: This AFO brace did not give me lateral stability. You would have to use an ankle brace for that type of support. The stirrup type of ankle brace can get "bulky" feeling with certain types of shoe. If they do come out with one in a flesh color, I would buy it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Light weight and very easy to put on *by on Reviewed in the United States July 29, 2026* This brace makes it easier to walk and is working out very well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hooks are Nice, but Cord Attachment is Inadequate *by on Reviewed in the United States August 3, 2025* Updated 12/2025-I have used the braces for 5 months and they are still going strong, so I changed my rating from 3 to a 5. I have learned that if you hold on to the bungee just below the hook when you tension it, the hook/bungee attachment works well and doesn't fail.I like the hook arrangement better than the Velcro shoelace strap of my previous foot lifter, so I gave it 3 stars. However the attachment of the elastic cord to the hook is insufficient. Both ends of one foot had the elastic outer cover pull out of the plastic hook within 3 days. The interior non-elastic cord is still attached, so the lifters still work, but I wonder how long it will be till it breaks. Also, It is difficult to remove the Velcro ankle straps, as there is no unattached tab to grab onto. So great concept, but could use improvement in design/materials. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Found a way to make it work better for me *by on Reviewed in the United States February 27, 2025* I have purchased a few different types of foot drop braces. They all have some benefit, but none have been completely satisfactory. When I first tried this one, it definitely helped with my left-foot drop, but as many have pointed out, the laces on my tennis shoe would always stretch and benefit would be reduced.However, after thinking about this for a while, I decided to try something new. I took some short cable ties and passed them through the 2 sets of eyelets closest to the toe of the shoe, side to side. I tightened them until each formed a small loop, and cut off the excess, leaving just the loop. This does not stretch! It works very well for me. If you have a problem with the laces stretching, this might be a very simple solution.
