I am pretty new to the botany world, but wanted to start pressing some plants I've been collecting during hikes. This is great! It works perfectly. The only thing that could be improved are the straps. The ones that buckle are much better since these ones are very hard to tighten.

Good product at a fair price

I got this press for a Medical Botany class where we did multiple plant presses. The plants dried evenly and beautifully. An added bonus that was the paper that comes with it was excellent to take pictures on without mounting them! I started using newspaper in between the included paper to keep the paper clean and white for my submitted pictures. I highly recommend this press to any hobbyist or student! The press was also not too small to make a decent sized voucher but not too large to take up a large amount of room!

My girlfriend loves it! Fast shipping, received product a day early, and exactly as ordered! I will defiantly order more items from this seller!I almost gave it 4 stars only because the straps aren't very good quality and hard for my girlfriend to use. I expect the straps to be as they were, so I wasn't upset and just put my own ratchet straps on it and it works better.

I purchased this because I needed an additional press and thought this would be a good choice. It is absolutely worthless. The only thing that is of any use to me is the paper. It is thick and plush. This is the only reason I gave the unit 2 stars. I used this unit for the first time to dry some Turkish Bay Leaves. The dried leaves were semi-flat and wrinkled. I wouldn't give these away as gifts! The wood on the outside is rough and unfinished. I was afraid to handle it because splinters are a real possibility. It is virtually impossible to tighten the straps to the point where the unit might work. I am a slight woman with arthritis. The BestNest press is much better, as it has screws in all four corners that allow you to easily tighten the screws to make a really secure tight fit, and the price is comparable. The BestNest wood panels are finished and smooth, too.
